The car paint work has been progressing albeit slowly. The primer was applied before the weekend and yesterday the car had it’s underbody coated with 3M Anti-rust coating. The car will be moved to the Painters workshop today again for the rest of painting work before being moved into Paint booth for final paint job.

That is epic. Whenever I see a Palio being cared for, I feel as if some family member has gotten a new lease of life.

EDIT - One thing i just noticed. There is a lot of spray of the anti rust coat on the AC condenser. Get it cleaned off after the complete paintjob is finished.

True about this car, it has become a family member. Thanks Gurjinder. I'll ensure that is cleaned before the job completion.

Nice try Shams, but let's keep the suspense on!

The car finally entered paint booth yesterday, it was supposed to be painted on Friday however the vacuum pump in the paint booth didn’t work. The color we chose was a blue shade after the much discussed red, green and other options. I wanted a color which is bright on the GTX and a bit different from other GTX’s around and hence choose this blue. Now it’s picture time of the car in the Paint Booth

This color was suggested by JayD and we stuck to this and it has come out well in person. Color schemes around Alloys, Roof, Mirror Caps have also been decided by JayD himself, so this is going to be probably called J10 edition with his signature on the bonnet.

The car was allowed to dry for couple of hours in the paint shop before being finally moved to Murugan’s workshop again. We’ve planned to work on fitting the interiors and other stuff from today, there are couple of more parts to be ordered which will be done today. We are aiming at completing majority of the work by end of next week. An FFE is also planned for this car which shall be done in due course once the kit arrives from Bangalore. It's more like the Second Picture. The pictures were taken with different equipments and hence the difference, the first one was with a camcorder and hence the difference in the shade. I'll post more day-time pictures today.

Nice color. It's almost similar to BMW's Laguna Seca Blue :)
