Your sparkling white beauty is crunching miles at a superb pace. Am sure MJD would be more than happy with these mile crunches. Also its getting good breaks from Blore traffic. Wish you many more happy miles.

    Service Update

Crossed the 45K mark on the odo and the car went in for service. This time it had a few things to be done.
    1. Regular servicing (45K kms)
    2. Windshield Replacement
    3. Passenger side sun visor replacement
    4. Wipers replacement
    5. Noise from left rear window when winding down
    6. Purchased the Tyvek car cover
    7. The new mirror assembly with the indicators
    8. Seat Creaking noise to be fixed
    9. Oil sump replacement as I had got it dent due to an under-body hit
Dropped the vehicle off for service and since the windshield was to be replaced did not want to hurry things. Collected the car back after 6 days and all the things were completed apart from the seat creaking noise. In addition to the above items, the service adviser called and informed about the timing chain noise during cold start which I failed to observe. Gave a go ahead for getting the replacement as I did not want to take any chance with it. Luckily the timing chain replacement was covered under extended warranty and I had to pay for the timing chain pads.

Regular service includes the replacement of below items
    1. Engine Oil
    2. Oil Filter
    3. Air Filter
    4. AC Filter
    5. Diesel Filter
The service includes the brake cleaning (both front and rear), all suspension parts check up and regular cleaning stuff.

    Service Cost - Rs. 8165/-

The cost of replacements and accessories

    1. Windshield (through insurance) - 1008/-
    2. Sun visor - 590/-
    3. Mirror Assembly (RH + LH) - 1990 + 1990 = 3980/-
    4. Mirror Cap (RH + LH) - 150 + 150 = 300/-
    5. Cap Painting - 1011/-
    6. Mirror Assembly replacement Labour - 708/-
    7. Car Cover Tyvek - 2490/-
    8. Oil Sump and Sealer - 664 + 455 = 1119/-
    9. Wipers (Both) - 1398/-
    10. Timing Chain Pad - 387/-
    Replacements Total - 12,991/-

    Battery Replacement

The Exide battery that came from the factory showed signs of dieing out. Got the battery replaced with Amaron one and it cost me 5200 bucks with old battery exchange.

Cross the 47000 mark on the odo with a solo trip to Kanyakumari and Trivandrum

    20141229_211233.jpg

Had a tyre sidewall cut during the return journey. The current tyres had done 30K kms and had another 5-8k kms left in it. However, 3 tyres were old and one new (stepney one). Advanced the tyre replacement a bit and got them replaced with the Continental MC5 205/55 R16 tyres. The tyres cost me 9450 per piece. Picked up 17 inch bit and a the t-rod as the OEM one was not convenient to use it cost me 300 buck and it is Taparia make.

Off-topic: @nkrishnap, your review on Linea Tjet was one of the influencing factors for me to buy the TJet. Loving it very much to say the least. :)

Thanks Krishna. KHT is giving some brand called crosslink with only sensor and a small display in the left corner. Not sure should I go for it or ask for fiat genuine reverse parking sensors with only beep.
