Another milestone. Reached 16000 kms on the way back home from office.

    A customary pic.

    44th Refill: 162.7 kms - 11.95 liters - 13.62 KMPL (MID 13.8 kmpl) - Average Speed 17 kmph - Rs. 57.50/- per litre from Shell.

A remarkable difference in the engine smoothness even with only 12 litres of shell diesel as compared to the last refill from BPCL.

Diesel difference also just rs.4 now, good to take shell, if its available nearby.

Yes. The Shell diesel makes more sense now with engine more smoothly.

Shell Sadashivanagar outlet. It seems the website has not yet been updated.

Gr8!! if there is remarkable smoothness as u mentioned will refill from shell henceforth, I filled at an HP pump for the last refill and there is considerable amount of smoke emitted since then...:redcar

Since I tried Shell after IndianOil, I never felt like going back to any other bunk !!

Indeed there is considerable difference in the engine sound and smoke from the exhaust since I started filling shell diesel (smooth engine sound and low smoke).

    Cheers

Like when we were discussing about the Shell diesel the last time we met, it makes sense in every possible way to opt for Shell when the price gap between the PSUs to Shell is about 2 bucks. Anything beyond will be a personal choise. But nevertheless the refinement and lack of puffs of smoke under hard acceleration makes it an obvious choice. The froth in Shell diesel is lesser too from whatever I have observed.

IOCL is better than the HPCL and BPCL. But Shell trumps all these 3. However, a few IOCL bunks and BPCL Ghar bunks on the highway are quiet decent.
