    hey guys,
the car is almost at 26000 kilometers today.
had been noticing a noisy steering at cold starts since the last two days and was apprehensive about it though i had a feeling that the ps oil level would be on the lower side.
took some time off today to check it out. popped up the hood and went straight to the oil reservoir for the ps and there it was. the level was almost at the bottom. looked around with a sharp eye but couldnt find any leakages but will still top it up tomorrow and tighten up all connections.
so the next time your steering makes noise, check the oil level first and diagnose everything else later.
time for those tires now. next week most probably. also some other good news will be coming regarding the car.
    drive safe guys.

the cars crossed 27000 kilometers today. checked all the old diesel bills for the odo reading on them...my average mileage has been around 19.6 overall with the a/c on all the time.
    not bad is it?

    epicenter,

Waiting to hear from you about your trials on the K & N and the stock filter. You had mentioned something to that effect in you earlier post.

I had been thinking for going for k&n filters (stock replacement ) .
However the k&n dealer recommended me to go for conical one which is little cheaper and value for money as it provides more power and mileage (if u control the revs) .

How much difference have u faced in pickup, power, mileage after installing k&n filters only ?

Do u need to replace to ur original filters when u give ur car for servicing ? Does it void any warranties ?

    Is it worth the money?

Conical ones would be difficult to be replaced at home . I am in a dilemma . Pls. help ......
