Swift Torque details are 190nm/2000rpm and punto MJD has 197/1750rpm.
Both sharing same engine, what kind off engineering makes more torque at low rpm on punto ? i mean any ECU programming ? what is that makes torque special on FIAT's ?

Came to this question, because while my recent trip found a Honda Jazz overtook me at decent speed on normal roads, but on the ghat section the Jazz was not pulling and was in my rear view mirror.

Maruti 800's, Altos and even Nanos overtake me all the time. :(

  4. 1.3 ltr engine is designed for cruising ability rather than being a quick pole star, enjoy your car where it's strength is.

Recently drove Hyundai i20 petrol. And I am Amazed to see that Hyundai manage to sell Rs.7 lakh worth cars with no brakes and a vague steering . I have become fan of them now.

I thought movies like Chennai express was something to learn from but Hyundai's are Gurus.

Haven't driven petrol i20 but i20 crdi have good enough brakes. One gets used to steering after some time.

  8. Ofcourse one does get used to the steering how much ever life less it is, otherwise we would have been witnessing banged up i20s all the time..
Brakes are not that bad in i20(both petrol and diesel) but could have been better considering the premium people pay for the car

+1. Have driven my friend's diesel i20, the brakes are quite good, but the suspension and the steering feedback is nothing to write home about, both are lousy.
