Hi,

I am a proud owner of Fait Palio Multijet. Have done 25K kms in one year. Recently had to change clutch assy due to negligence of tata service :hit . Lucky to get introduced to Hariprasad automobiles at blr :wow who really do a good job. Any palio stile on thread get in touch. :anyone :up

 

Hi Jairamm, welcome and enjoy your stay at TFI. When you mention change clutch assembly what had happened and what got replaced ? was it done under warranty?

HI all,

I had felt the clutch pedal to be hard and gradually over usage the changing of gears also got to become rough. i had the mentioned it for all my three services but tata motors did not care to attend. Finally when I got to Hariprasad auto he diagnosed the actual problem. He found that the hydraulic cylinder had become ineffective. It could not be covered under warranty as it had crossed 20 k. I had to bear the replacement charges because of ignorance of tata motors.

 

Ohh ok .. so i presume you changed the slave cylinder and not entire clutch assembly which includes Clutch Plate/Pressure Plate etc. Anyways good to know you found someone who can take care of your car. How about you treat us with some pics now ??

 

sad to know that the clutch comes as one unit. So had to replace the whole assembly.

 

Even I got my clutch assembly replaced (full unit) but under warranty for my linea. The reason given was manufacturing defect which had uneven wear n tear of the clutch.
