    Hi Tfians,

I am planning to buy another FIAT but this time it is a used one, classic, limited edition S10.

In used car's market, lots of Palio's are available and this makes lots of confusions.

The one I found is, Palio S10 with 50K Kms in 10 years.

What will be the checklist for buying this car?

The one I have made is
    1. Owner
    2. Service history
    3. Engine Condition
    4. Meter tampering (need to check in Palio)
    5. Tyres
    6. Insurance
    7. Accident History
    8. Car's bodyline

If all points are fine then what will be price which can be perfect deal for this limited edition car?

The current asking price from the seller is Rs. 95K

If I bought the car then what will be the service cost for maintaining this car?

    Please help me guys.
  2. This car is a rocket, go for it if all the checklist you made are passing. Just a note that spares are bit costlier and brakes are ridiculous for this car.

With 99rpm on there is absolutely no issue on spares availability unless something seriously wrong, Except few things most of the parts are shared between 1.6 sports/1.2 Sports NV.
Touch-wood I have not faced any issues with spares so far.

Agree with Chetan brakes are bad, but sufficient enough for city use IMO.

Regarding price, I believe there is always a scope for atleast 15% negotiation.
    GO FOR IT!!!

Make sure the engine auxiliaries (alternator, power steering pump, AC compressor, radiator fan) are in good shape. Rather than engine I'm facing failure of all these nowadays :(

Also check if the small things like AC knobs, switches, AC vents, power window motors, power window switches, others etc are in good shape. These might be small but all cost a bomb :(

Put the car on a lift, check underbody and check all alloys for any bends/repairs.

99rpm is there but he's VERY LAZY nowadays :( he used to respond to every order immediately and ship them, nowadays he's slacking off.

    Yes thorough checking is required,
Probably he is not able to manage the load.
