    There were two ELX's.

One was the normal and most popular ELX without Airbag and ABS. The other ELX (much rarer) had Airbag and ABS. I hope this clears it ;)

I just cross checked it. It was ELX SP version which had ABS and Airbag.

Well, actually there were 4 variants
    ELX
    ELX AW
    ELX SP
    ELX SP AW

AW = Alloy Wheels, SP = Safety Package

Nostalgic Memories. We had an Uno 1.2 EL AC 2000 which taught me to drive i started driving as and when I turned 18.
Unfortunately, I could drive it for just 8 months until a cabbie crashed head on into the car and Dad decided not to repair it :sad1. I'm pretty sure he was mighty upset as he had kept her like a new bride till 8 years and i undid that in as many of months.
But now the Punto and the Linea are here to do justice to her. having said that, they just can not take her place in all of our lives.

You are right about the sentimental values of certain cars. Strange as it may sound on Fiat Forum I still have fond memories of Maruti Omni being our first family car bought in year 1989.

The Novo Uno (not is India right now) looks awesome too.
    Check it out incase..

Man you know how to take care of your car!

It looks just fine cosmetically, I wish I was the new owner of your car :)
