Link please. i had done this nearly 2 years ago using wall paint as i could not find the pen perhaps i will pick it up now.
also have you put any sort of coating on the paint? if not do it or else it will become a dirt magnet and soon you will have no letters.
Try applying a layer of varnish on it.

I read on TBHP that those pens do not stay for longer duration. Max 2-3 weeks.

Yep and i have to do patch up work again. Buts its ok, it stays like 3 weeks or so even most of it sustained the long drives on dirty roads too. So i think ill stick to the oil paint than wasting 200 INR for those pens.

if you just paint it wont last long you need to varnish it afterwards.
This time while patching it up try it out. It not only holds the paint forever it will also make it look glossy and protect it from dirt.
So when you spray water on it all the dirt just slides out .
After seeing many guys picking up this , i'm also eagerly waiting to start again but one full weekend would go for this only!!

the paint disaapears in 2 weeks... i guess thats because the toppest layer of rubber goes out due to heat & friction in potholes
