@prabhjot Prof, can you imagine if Fiat worked with the speed of a Hyundai? We would have had the Alfa - Romeo's the Dodge hell Cats, the Wranglers, maybe even the Ram trucks by mid of next year. The poor guys are having to make all new stuff while this guy Fiat has all and is not willing to do anything about it.
No with the Creta, they are going to put a lot of pressure on the Duster etc which is highly overpriced in India.

Mods, apologies for the OT, please remove if needed.

A terrific close-up informal video of the Giulia. Very ravishing, and pretty singular, especially the interiors!

    (please use Gogle translate)

The bigger-than Giulia (i.e., an E-class or 5-series competitor), E-segment performance sedan from Alfa has been sighted undergoing testing and development disguised as an (stretched) Maserati Ghibli mule.

i.e., Development and hopefully launch of the all-new Alfa-s is continuing apace and more or less on time, as per the '5-year plan' through 2018, which year is supposed to see a full, 7/8 all-new car line-up.

All the Alfa-s and also some future Maserati-s and several Jeeps and Dodges (next-gen) will use an all-new, rwd, platform with multiple architectures possible, and pretty modular in dimensions too: christened 'Giorgio'. All-new engines, too, like the just released 2.2 mjd2 and the Ferrai/Maserati 510 hp V6 shown on the Giulia Quadrofoglio.

The Giulia, including especially the normal, non-QV versions, and the Fiat Aegea too btw, will apparently be officially fully shown only at the Franfurt Motorshow in september.

The Giulia-based sports cuv/suv is near-ready. Launch in 2016, second half?

FCA is making a fast all-new product push now, for the non-American brands like Alfa obviously but also, finally, Fiat?!

The product and investment rationing for the non-American brands (done in order to complete the merger with CDJeepRam and to capitalize on the long boom in the US market as everywhere else was slumping/slumped esp Europe and Brazil)

This car, the Alfa Romeo Giulia, is seriously seductive, and a serious proper contender against BMW and Mercedes, let alone Audi, or Jaguar (obviously), especially in Europe, America? and China+Middle East+Australia.

May India 'get it', pun entirely intended, and all its new upcoming siblings too, say post-2018, once all the Jeeps and their dealers etc are ready and established and hopefully thriving. After all Maserati's already here (at far higher, 'exotic' price points than where the Alfa-s will sit?

It'd be entirely helpful, and rational, in mutual self-inetrest IF this Indian government could overcome the sabotaging by the likes of Maruti, Mahindra et al and sign-on the long-pending, stuck-at-final-stages Free Trade Pact with the EU. Keep the high-tariffs for the mass market segments, smaller ones for the luxury and sportscar segments, if the quid pro quo for components exports, visa-s, migration, pharmaceuticals, students etc is good.....you can always tax the HELL out of these cars at Municipal level, in fact you should on many mass market big (engined) cars too!

There are fresh facelifts of both the Alfa Mito (a twin of the Fiat Punto, and quite blasphemic for Alfa fans in Europe and elsewhere) and the Alfa Giulietta undergoing testing, too.

That is despite the understanding, so far, that, starting with the Giulia, Alfa Romeo was going to all-new: Mito axed (fwd, too small, not sporty enough in handling etc) and in a couple of years time a Giulia-based, all-new RWD Giulietta.

It seems they'r trying to amp-up sales of these sports hatches, by having their marketing piggy-back-ride on the Giulia (multiple variants) launch and buzz. Perhaps, as much to ensure that Alfa+Jeep, or Alfa+Fiat (in the US) dealers are kept busy and financially happy enough as they await the full rollout of the all-new range. The SUV avatar of the Giulia will come to Europe this time next year, and then Marchionne says, a new model every 6 months apparently (coupe, spider/roadster, e-segment-sedan, e-segment-suv...).

All these models will have very bleeding edge chassis, steering, braking and engine technology (petrol, diesel and mild-hybrid), and will share the mint-new, scalable, 'modular' 'Giorgio' rwd platform, also it is assumed and even stated, to be shared by near-future Dodges, Maserati-s, Chryslers and even some Jeeps.

The Mito and Giulietta are nowhere near bleeding-edge, except for the latter's engines, apparently, from reports and reviews, and of course the Alfa style. Hence the surprise that they're being heavily facelifted. The Giulietta's sales numbers are holding pretty compared to the previous year or two in Europe, while the Mito (imo, the better-looking one) is seeing very reduced demand.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia QV being heatedly, on-the-limit-tested at the Nurburgring, and another video conveying its sonorous, dark bassy exhaust notes. Hot, hotter, redder.....!:cigar::joyful:

It will apparently be fully shown/launched, in other less-hot engine variants too, next month at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

Unmissable video of a guy in a hot hatch, a SEAT, chasing or just trying to keep-up with the prototype Alfa Giulia 510 hp 6 cylinder twin-turbo QV testing at the Nurburgring.

The Internet's automag gossip section is abuzz with 'news' that the new Alfa Romeo Giulia QV with the Ferrari-based 510 hp twin turbo V6 has done the Nurburgring a full 9 seconds faster than the BMW M4.

Nice little marketing coup for Alfa Romeo/FCA as they gear up to officially launch the Giulia at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September!:cigar:
