I am too keeping an eye on the Evo tail lamps. If the MID throws an error then it will be a huge turn off and I would continue with the same older one.

Evo Tail lamps are Rs 2999 a piece. Connectors are different hence you will have to make an adapter. Wiring is a bit tricky since left and right have different order.

You will get warnings for parking light.

but SA told me that they are working on the retrofit assembly for the pre 2014 models, and it may cost around 3k per pair, will update the thread as soon as i receive more concrete information.

Member Chethansgangoor has already fitted them in his car. It costs Rs.2990/- per piece. The couplers are different; 4 pin in the old vs 5 pin in the new. A little bit of jugaad is needed to get them working, but its quite do-able... in fact, its already been done!

As of now, nothing yet. But Sunnyboi and Chethan are working on it. Last I met them, they were discussing resistors and other such thingummies that don't make sense to me!

I guess he's not so keen on the writing part nowadays. He had a very detailed thread here for his previous car, but he hasn't opened one yet for his new one.
    I'll ask him anyway. :)
