New Fiat Uno - Reaching India by Year End !!

They might not bring in this car but even if they do they for sure won't name it UNO.

 

Overall mini SUV look. Good colors.
But why the name 'Uno' which is still haunting FIAT.
Please give any name other than Uno/Palio, it will sell.
Few suggestions " Infreno", "Italino", "Stallio"," Rugbo" etc

 

Any updates on Launch of this car. One of my friend want to buy this car. He is eagerly waiting for this car.

 

the new Palio can also its find its way to india with a new name. with a range of engines. Twin Air to 1.4 litre petrol engine currently in Punto and of course the MJD too. its being tested in Brazil.

 

Front doesn't look that attractive. But it will have presence on road. If india can digest wagon R this can kick out more sales if it get a FE Heart.

 

Leave aside all those rumours aside regarding UNO cuming to india.

IT IS CUMING TO INDIA!!! Confirmed by the factory members during our meet.

UNO is cumin 2011 first quarter followed by the much awaited BRAVO, yes bravo!! in 2012.

UNO wud be assembled here itself while the bravo wud be an complete import with a price tag of around 18-20lacs. Also got a insider sayin FIAT plans are going to be more aggressive after 2012 :dance :dancing :wow

Its a beautiful vehicle with refreshing look and it will be a big hit on Indian roads . Though Uno was a hit once upon a time, later it got very bad name becoz of untimely closure and bad A.S.S. The name "uno" still haunts few owners though its a lietime ownership vehicle with rugged 1.7D engine, superb stability and very good mileage.
1st: If FIAT wants to sell the above model with good numbers plz come with any name other than Palio or Uno.
It can be anything like dobolo, ruggbo, jenevo, supremo, trendzo, Caprio, suprio or xyz....O but not Palio or Uno pleaseeeeeeeeeee.
2nd :and very important. Don't launch secretly somewhere in Mumbai. Good 4-5 seconds flashers on TV at least 1 months before and bombarding to continue till launch. Big advt without disclosing model/photo in news papers for at least 01 week with a downcount. Launch in every Metro on the same day and rally of at least 10 cars in respective cities throughout the month(same 10 cars can be used to cover throughout India in 01 month).
Continue advts in all medias for at least 2 motnhs after launch.

i think its the New Palio 2011 that is coming to india and not the Uno. it may have engines ranging from 1.0 to 1.3 MJD.
