New Fiat Uno - Reaching India by Year End !!

IT looks like an SUV.... RUGGED

 

Whats with the big wheel arches .. yukky absolutely tasteless .. those plastic outline design cues seem to be similar to Palio Adventure .. and in indian conditions those black plastics should be whitish in no time .. tall boy , MUV inspired ... and by the time tatas get their hands on it the quality would be worse ..

 

This Uno may remind FIat of the old UNO days when it was in demand and people were ready to get hold of the UNO even after waiting for months after booking...

Way to go FIAT... I guess this would do well in the Indian markets looking at the price range it would be in...

 

If this new Uno 1 litre mill can churn out 75 horses, why not Punto's 1.2 can atleast match it in number of horses?

Looks boxy and nothing exciting in it, Indian public may wish for any thing and they get it now (due to inclination of all major car makers towards India), do we think that this Uno stand a chance in such a competitive market? When we already have Figo and Beat lined up with such an exciting price tags?

 

Don't trust Auto Bild....these guys are the 'India TV' of Automags - they make their own news. Even if this car comes to India, it wont be before the end of 2011 for sure.
Anyway, the looks are trendy for sure.

 

I sincerely wish that Fiat doesnt even think of launching another model till it does it all well with the Punto and untill they reach respectable sales figure of 3000 plus of Punto every month. They should ensure good service , strengthen the back end, the spares, the response to complaints and iron out all quality issues . It will be worth slogging untill the market accepts the brand in totality and customers back it similar to Maruthi (with closed eyes !!). Right now no one is complaining at all that Fiat is just a 2 model company. They have a good two products and should ensure it is enough to turn all wicked feelings into smiles. The rest will follow in good stead.

 

I agree to this and therefore liked the overall design.
