New brake pad design for Punto 2012.

    I was @home and I'm not a innocent customer..those aadya guyz are already fed up with me :)

    Whenever I land there those service guyz hide from me ..so that they don't pick my car...as I needle them a lot :)

    Only Sundar stands up and says this is right & wrong..today he was too busy..

    I think it all depends on your driving style, I have covered 22,600kms till now on my Punto MJD (2011 April). 60% - high way and 40% city, the original brake pads mostly will survive till 30k kms.

    Had mailed to Mangesh at 7 am in the morning and amazingly got a reply by 9am...

    He has asked his service team to look into with priority on why break pads have worn down at 10kms

    So went to TASS ,,and they say it will last 3k more....:)


    But Kudos to mangesh..

    I have changed Brake pads at 24500 Kms.. now the ODO shows 39000kms.. On Safer side change brakepads between 25k - 30k ... and yes i do lot of harsh breaking..
    Next schedule would be around 48k mark.

    Service advisors .... bill badaana chahtein hain... when i went on 15k service, SA told me that break pads would not last more than 1000Kms.. even he warned me not to go on Highways... :)
    Result -- I drove till 24,500 Kms and changed them only because i was planning for Long trip. It would have lasted another 3-4 k .
    Some whistling sound appeared so i changed them.

    I changed mine at 35k and they were changed as i was going on a long drive and they would have easily lasted for another 2-3k

    The SA asked me to get the pads replaced while 2nd Free service (15000 kms) and I enquired fellow TFIans only to know that they have changed theirs at 30k+. I haven't changed the brake pads then but after 18k the discs were making a sound and I realised that the pads were worn out completely and got them changed. ODO stands at 28.5k now.

    Got Brake pads replaced for my Linea today.
    Paid 3061 bucks including labour.
    MRP on Pads was 2780(Made in Italy).
    I suppose pads for Punto and Linea are the same.

    Akshay 3061 for Linea break pads...I think fiat has increased the prices can you please upload the soft copy of bill if u dont mind.

    3061 was including labour
    2780 was MRP on pads
    Bill says
    2457+307(VAT)+250 labour=Final Bill of 30XX
