Headlight warning is not required in Linea. We can exclude 1 point from Vento.
I did not read it properly but there are some features missing from Linea(did not show in search using ctrl+f): Speed sensitive front wipers, speed sensitive volume control, power window impulse has been mentioned but no mention of the detail(Linea has all four auto down power windows with driver side auto up).

Gaurav, you are using MJD in city so you know about FE. It depends upon average speed as well. 13 is rush hour figures. Both vento and Linea are good but I will prefer Linea because:
    - Longer than Corolla Altis, Jetta, Octavia, ANHC, Vento etc.
    - Better looks (subjective)
    - Cheaper spare parts, lower cost of maintenance with proven MJD engine(being used in 9cars).
    - Safety. EBD as well in Linea. Not to speak of excellent build quality.
    - More features and gadgets.
    - 15" alloys with 15" spare tyre(not 14").
    Vento has better interior quality.

The overall length of Vento is 4384mm, width 1699mm, height 1466mm, ground clearance of 168mm and wheelbase of 2552mm.
    Linea- Length 4560mm, width 1730mm, wheelbase 2605mm, height 1487mm.
  5. Heard Vento has huge exhaust hump which makes is uncomfortable for a person sitting in middle on the rear seat.

    1. Looks - Subjective : Fiat lovers will vote for Linea while VW lovers will vote for Vento
    2. Comfort - I will say both are at par.
    3. Milege in city - Linea is known to give around 15-16. Vento : don't know
    4. Service costs - Linea definitely will be cheaper to service. VW is not known to be cheap. And looking at Skoda's costs : I don't expect VW to be much different.
    5. Spare parts - Availability or price ? Availability : don't know. Price : definitely Fiat is going to be cheaper.
    6. Safety - Again - I will say both are at par.

Do a simple cost to benefit analysis and take the decision.

But I don't see the Vento offering MORE for the same price in terms of features. In fact it offers LESS for MORE price.

Fiesta - Don't know. Look up TBHP for owner reviews. But I do think Fiesta is an outdated model now. Due for a major upgrade.

    Here goes my take:

Looks - Subjective. I vote for Linea. Vento isn't far behind.

comfort - From what I have read, rear seat comfort is better in Vento. Fiat's have a typical trait - finding a perfect driving position is quite difficult!

Service costs - Linea should be cheaper. VW's are never known for cheap spares and servicing costs.

Safety - Should be on par.

You haven't mentioned engine. Here is where Vento is far ahead of the Linea.

Aren't the VW's Diesel engines oil guzlers. I have read it in a lot of other forums, every 1500 ksm 1.5 liters of Engine oil consumed. Is it true.
