After A long wait got the delivery of my car today.
Congrats Naruf for getting ur Baby delivered today.Happy Miles.
Thanks for the wishes.
I have driven from home to office and back past two days and what an experience has been!
The engine noise is not transferred to cabin what-so-ever (have not driven beyond 2500-3000 rpm). Have been busy reading the manuals.
Just waiting for taking her on long drives.
Congratulation for your new ride!
Yesterday My "Thambi" (my punto) completed 1000 kms. Has been great experience till date. Fuel Consumption behaving good around 19 kmpl and great thrill to drive every time press the accelerator:car.
The day before, Had a WoW! moment with Thambi.
Had parked the car on service road and was waiting inside the car for my wife to complete some shopping evening around 07.00.
Had kept the windows slightly open for some fresh air, as two girls walked by, while they crossed thambi, I could hear their conversation,
One girl passing by the left side says "Aachi dikit hain na!"
other passing by the right asks "kaunsi gaadi?"
and then both turn around look at the fiat symbol and says "FIAT!"
I was like:wow:dancing:clap
Only if I could have recorded that conversation!.
Its hmmmmmmmmm feeling I experienced once.
I travel in many cars. but I cruise in my PUNTO
Got the first service done, initially car was ok driving back from ASC to office at noon.
However, while returning from office I observed two issues
1. Whossh....Whossh noise (something like air escaping) while changing gears i.e. while releasing the clutch
2. Krrr...krrr. noise from front when braking at around 40 kmph.
Planning to observe tomorrow, else plan to take it back to ASC if issue continues. Any similar noise and experiences? would help.
First service is nothing but a general check up where nothing is needed to be touched except in case of some issues. Did they check the brake pads or open them by any chance? :?
Good news is the noise is not repeated during my morning drive to office .
Even I was wondering what could be the case!
Giving vehicle for servicing is bit scary, it is like admitting someone to hospital for a day:sadblue!
Plan to check in the evening again, could be some dust/grime accumulated with water due to washing which caused the issue.
Also, I had marked (numbered with oil paint) all the wheels prior to giving for service, and found that they had not rotated the tires.
The service ad visor told me that since there is no uneven ware this is not required. Planning to get the balancing and rotation done during weekend.
