One suggestion, Please get the WA/WB done at professional 3rd party who are specialists. Get the latest readings from FASS (it is same as 2014 Grande Punto) & be careful about the alloys, they might induce scratches.

Recently completed another milestone on My ride.:)
1st time I got such a low FE, Due to very hectic traffic of last week or so. Its has been quite eventful & happy times with my Evo.

    Some sweet number.

My ride had spent a week again in Vecto motors to sort out the niggles / issues raised with FIAT.
After lot of haggling, push / pull suspension alignment check it was concluded that the issue was with the set of tyres my ride wore. Vecto replaced the tyre with set of new ones. The left pull has gone now. I have it under observation.
Also after the replacing the gear cable no rattling till now.
There was water leakage in rear right side foot well. Apparently this was due to AC outlet block. It has been quite an eventful past week for me. Now happy to have my ride back in full flow.
During this time the effort put in by Vecto motors left me with very positive impression. Also response from FIAT was good. Only issue to be addressed is jerk during 3rd gear(1800-2200rpm).
    Cheers

@aramico : Good to see issues being resolved by the FASS. were the tyres worn out on the edge? were they changed under warranty?
Do write to Fiat about the jerk in 3rd gear. its better option if FASS unable to resolve.

nope.. tyres were not worn out.. the batch of tyres had problem. It was replaced under warranty. 3rd gear jerking issue already taken up with FIAT. They have to come up with solution.

@@aramico: I am becoming a fan of yours. I also have a fiat Punto 75 BHP white color. Could you please explain the process of claying the car and let me know, if you have upgraded your ICE.

^^ @Amit Gupta , Let me congratulate you on owing one of the best hatches available in India. Please do post / start your ownership / initial exp. with the car with lots of pics. Have a lots of Happy miles & memories ahead.

I am no expert in detailing. Just have novice knowledge / exp. Will try to share the little I know. It is very difficult to make the white color look shining by detailing. But yes you can always maintain it neatly, as the white color is most easiest of the color to do so.
This is the steps I follow
    1. Claying is required to be done probably 1-2 times a year max. based on your usage of the car. Any more would be simple waste of clay or time / money. I would suggest you to buy elasto foam prep sponge instead of traditional clay. This can be reused lot of times. Also during claying if the foam falls accidentally on floor just rinse & use it again, which is not the case with the traditional clay.
    2. Before you clay the car, shampoo / rinse the car properly to clean the dirt / dust / oil / muck etc. dry the car. Use any waterless / rinse less shampoo in dilution (1:40/50) with water as clay lubricant.
    3. fill the clay lubricant in the spray bottle & spray it liberally on car panel. 1st start with the wind shield. then move panel by panel. Run the foam gently on the panels. At 1st the foam block will not move freely if the panel is contaminated. After couple of runs rinse the foam block in clean water to remove contamination. Never use the foam on dry paint.
    4. The foam will start to move smoothly on the paint surface once the surface contamination is lifted. Just feel the surface by moving your fingers on it. It should be smooth as glass. Then rinse the car again to clean the paint surface & dry it. Now the car is ready to receive wax / sealant. You can clay all the parts like paint / trims / alloys / chrome parts etc.
    5. You can use spray wax (Optima car wax / Meguiars Ultimate Quick wax) OR waxes like Collinite 845 to wax / seal your car. For all the waxes please use less is more funda.
    6. Just spray / apply wax panel by panel say 2ft X 2ft area at time. You can use foam pads to spread the wax evenly. In case of spray wax simply spread the wax & wipe it with microfibre cloth immediately. For regular wax, apply on the 1st panel the move to 2nd & 3rd. Then come back to 1st panel & buff it off with microfibre cloth. Move to 2nd panel & buff it using dry side of MF cloth & repeat the steps for other panels. Also for regular wax cover the plastic trims with masking tape OR be mindful of not running the wax on the trims as it will leave streaks which will lead to dull looking plastic trims.
Let me tell you this will take time till you get hang of it. But it is worth the effort. Please make sure you DO NOT do these in hot sun. Always do it in shade. Don't use the car for at least 4-6hrs post waxing. Let the wax get completely dry.

Hope this helps & I have not scared you. This is little I know. I am sure that there are many experts in this forum who are greater SME's in detailing, would be nice to have some more inputs on the same.

As far as ICE is concerned the upgrade is on my list. Currently short on vitamin M. Will post once I firm up to upgrade.

Amazing ride and well maintained @aramico . Still have to go throught all of your pages.

Regarding the jerking issue Fiat has issued an ECU update for 90hp and Linea MJD which has solved the issue to a great extend. Someone got it done from south india first and today one person got it done from Kashyap Fiat, Noida too. Do check with your service center for this ASAP.
