I have clocked 41.6 K and Punto is performing great in all departments. Got new set of tyres 185/70 r14 Apollo Accelere.
Initial impressions is light steering, improved comfort over my previous tyres i.e 195/65 r14 A-drives.

Posting some pics , some pics have have been edited on request of tenant -

Still running as new, no problems what so ever. Still brings smile on my face when I take her out.

Roads in my area are quite bad so needed a bit more GC, now my GC is similar to 195/60 r15. Would have gone for 205/60 15 but was on tight budget. Aceelere are good tyres as per the reviews I found out. My older Yokohama could have gone for another 10k. Will write my experience soon.

    Hopefully will achieve that soon

14" HRS looks gr8 on your car!

Buddy it would be really gr8 if you could share your experience in detail, about the tyres you used 195/65 r14 A-drives and the current 185/70 r14 Apollo Accelere. hows the ride quality, handling and noise etc..

    Cheers!

On 14" wheel, 185/70 section tyre make more sense than 195/65 (due to 5.5J rim width normally).
Also, on 195/65, only option is Yoko A-Drive. So good decision ::T.

And wow what a mileage. :wow

Well Earlier I was on Yoko A Drives 195/65 r 14 on 6J HR alloys. These tyres were good in grip, looks but comfort was less than stock Punto tyres. Also steering became heavy. Now the problem with these tyres was low GC(dia 609mm), noise lately and a bit heavy steering during low speeds.

So I thought of upgrading the tyres, as Yoko's have already clocked 41K. So I had two options -
    1) Go for 15" alloys and pick 195/60 or 205/60. Dia = 615mm, 627mm
    2) Keep the same alloys, and go for 185/70 r14 tyres. Dia = 614mm

So finally decided to upgrade to 185/70 14, and I have to decide between Tauranza ER60, XM1+ and Apollo Aceleres. After reading some reviews and observations went with the later.

My observation of Apollo Acelere tyres after the first 450km is -

    1) The comfort has increased a lot, car feels lighter (like a fat kid has lost 20kg). Ride quality and comfort has increased a lot like patholes and dismantled roads are taken by punto as it is gliding over them ::D ... I mean a very positive improvement in it.
    2) Steering has become light and precise, though it was precise with 195/65 14 also but was heavy. This again proved good, because it is now light at low speed and weighs properly as speed increases.
    3) Grip has decreased just marginally, eg the amount of grip which I would get with 195/65 14 at 140kmph the same grip is available at 130Kmph. So approx 10kmph or less grip difference. But overall very good grip because of soft side wall of aceleres. Not a concern. Though still have to go above 160kmph to check proper grip which I will do after 500km.
    4) A small 5mm difference in dia has created a lot of difference for the GC of car, now I dont slow down as much on bad sections and small speed breakers as I used to with previous tyres.
    5) Very silent tyres, noise is less than Yoko's. There is no noise at all.
    6) In looks 195/65 14 were better than 185/70 14.

I rejected XM1+ becoz of wt. of punto and soft sidewall, and BS ER60 becoz of low comfort and less grip as per reviews.
I would strongly recommend Punto users who want to upgrade from 165/80 r14, to upgrade to 185/70 r14 as these fits well in almost all criteria.
