Thanks a lot, DRIV3R and Ramesh, for clarifying on my behalf.
Is it? But, I don't think so.
All the 3 belts [timing/auxiliary/accessory drive belts] were replaced as recommended in the periodical maintenance schedule.
Thanks once again, Ramesh, for the information; but, I saw this notice for the first time.

One More Gadget For My Linea

My fabulous FIAT Linea's stock, factory-fitted battery is still fit as a fiddle even after almost 4 years. thumbs%20up.gif This I came to know when I tested with the car voltmeter that I bought from DX costing US$ 5 [ 1125150d1376466380-cara-mia-fiat-linea-rupeesymbol.gif 307.13 paid through PayPal on 25 July 2013].

    Multi-Bit Ratchet Screwdriver

The other day, we were fixing the embossed registration number plates on my friend's Toyoto Corolla Altis. While I was using my own Phillips screwdriver, he took out his Stanley multi-bit ratchet screwdriver from dashboard compartment and used it. I liked it very much and he recommended it too; so, yesterday, I rode on my Thunderbird 500 to KR Market area and bought it for 1127168d1376980316-cara-mia-fiat-linea-rupeesymbol.gif 440 [30% discounted price] as against the MRP of 1127168d1376980316-cara-mia-fiat-linea-rupeesymbol.gif 628. The new ratchet screwdriver fits in my Linea's dashboard compartment comfortably. From now on, I need not open the boot, and then, the tool bag, every time to get a screwdriver for small jobs. smile.gif

It looks sturdy. My friend says, it's good. I am yet to use it.

Sir, when you find time and if you have a multimeter can you just check what voltage the multimeter gives under similar circumstances.
I'm curious to know the difference (if any ) between the voltmeter and multimeter readings.

With a multimeter all you have to do is just connect the 2 terminals to the respective poles on the battery and perform the usual tests

I don't have multimeter. I got my Linea's battery checked at Chennai a few weeks before Chennai-Bangalore trip. The readings were similar. The battery guy gave a clean chit to my Linea's battery. :)

Wheel Balancing & Alignment And Puncture Repair

Today, my Linea had her wheel balancing and alignment done at the neighbourhood Good Year Wheel Care dealer after 10 k km/1 year, when she had new set of tyres at Chandigarh. I was shocked when I was shown a screw puncturing the rear left wheel; I didn't feel its presence as there was no loss of air pressure. I paid 1129927d1377595395-cara-mia-fiat-linea-rupeesymbol.gif 990 for wheel balancing & alignment and puncture repair. The cost per km works out to 1129927d1377595395-cara-mia-fiat-linea-rupeesymbol.gif 1.43 at 62,125 km.
