My Blue & Me - 90 HP at Home

Congrats Relativity, This Blue color is better than previous Blue and looks stunning.

 

I am now over 1000 kms and just ignoring all rattles and noises inside. Infact, today was my first day with music playing all day and I drove all day in the city from point A to B to C. I suspect issues with the suspension or due to increased GC, the suspension does not do a good job and all road bumps make the entire interior plastic rattle.
I will change both the doors if I need to, for now; I am just loving the drive. Screw the noise!

 

There shouldn't be any noise except that slight khat khat irritating & very mild sound. Can you describe what sort of rattles/noises/squeaks you are referring to?
I hope you tried the inflation & deflation of tires as mentioned in my previous post:confused1.
I was never happy for this increased GC, don't know why. I was thinking about suggesting you 2011 model... i feel now i made a mistake there.

 

Enki, how would you car sound if it didn't have any shock absorbers? Okay, to be realistic, if all your shock absorbers were used up to a point where they need to be replaced? That's what it sounds and FEELS like.

The dashboard translates every bump on the road to a small sound. The door khat khat comes and goes. It does not glide over bumps, like a good suspension should. A good suspension would go down (you would feel the car lowering) and then come back up. Mine just falls with a Thud without going up or down :uh My bike used to behave like this before the shockers were due for replacement.

I did try the deflation technique. I have driven with 32 on all 4, then 31 on all 4 and now 30 on all 4.
I now plan to do 30 on front and 32 on rear.

 

TASS said door rattling nosie was from the loos lock issue...he says its fixed..I need to check tmrw

It can not be shock absorbers sound. Shock absorbers never make sound until the compressed gas/liquid starts escaping out in a one month old car. Also both the shock absorbers can't go faulty together. It even disturbs the handling of a car due to uneven horizontal alignment of the car if one of Sh. Ab. has gone bad. That has happened twice in My ZEN at least, not sure about FIAT cars till date.
Also the sound would be typically the rods hitting the seals of shock absorbers & you will hear it clearly & it is much UN-resting that what you are sounding right now. The rods would be clearly heard & vibration would be felt in the floor. I am doubtful about the ride quality of 2012 models to be frank, as i have said before too that many owners have reported that now. For Dashboard sounds, check all the things kept in the glove box & side pockets.

Keep the tyre pressure min, i mean 30 for all the tires. Stiffer springs are culprit here to make up for the handling at high speeds. Also change the place you inflate the tires. Don't slow down too much for average port holes. Stiffer suspension soaks the potholes far better@ high speed than lower. I think FIAT has just messed up with ride quality by making their cars walking on Bamboos:A..!!

For right side window glass sound, either keep the glass fully rolled up or completely down. If it due window glass, it will disappear. If you leave it half closed, it will make the sound.

 

Relativity, i think you should get your car checked up at the service centre. My 2012 model punto makes no noise at all. It does glide over bumps and potholes, its one of the mose surefooted car i have ever driven. I am sure there is no problem with 2012 puntos suspension.
