Didn't you get to hear the warning beep from the car?

I didn't hear any warning alarm. It was half engaged for about 1.5 KMs.
I know, gotta be more careful. Me almost running over the median was purely overconfidence and speeding.

First Service completed at 5K. Suspension was very hard and bumpy and that has been rectified. Now it is too soft but that's a lesser evil.
TASS lost the remote key during the service but with help from Tensingh, got the full key barrel set replaced free of cost. So, all 3 locks and both keys were replaced. The MRP on the product was about 7.5K

The clutch pedal assembly was also replaced free of cost (Cost approx 10K). after that, the fuel cut off switch was also replaced free of cost.

Well, the locks had to be replaced as the Insurance company insisted on it.
The clutch pedal assembly & the fuel cut off switch were identified as defective by TASS and replaced under warranty. I was told that it is a common issue with 2012 Puntos and they have replaced a few already for others. The three pedals should always be aligned and the same height. My clutch pedal was much higher. The fuel cut off switch is a very poor quality plastic part and was malfunctioning, thereby causing a lot of jumping every time i pressed or took my foot off the clutch.

Are those defective parts in all 2012 manufactured cars??do we need to insist the service centre to identify the defective parts or they do their job on their own??

    7.5K Km Update

Well, it's been a long time - 10 Months and 7.5 K Kms. I fell in love with the Car (again) during a recent trip from Chennai to Pondicherry. What made it memorable was the extremely heavy downpour all the way. This was the first time I took the highway to Pondicherry and that too in such heavy rain. Amazing ride and handling on the highway, despite the multiple complaints that I have in City ride quality.

I figured that ever since I got delivery of the Car, I have never checked the alignment or wheel balancing and it may help improve the ride. So I hit BM Lal & Brothers near Sathyam Cinema and got Wheel Balancing, alignment and rotation for all 4 wheels for Rs. 1150. They observed and commented on uneven tread on all tyres and advised me to change the GT3 Tyres to Michellin Primacy. The Balancing took a lot of time as both alignment & Balancing were really incorrect. I will scan and upload the summary tomorrow. They are willing to offer me Rs. 2,100 for each of my GT3. I am still thinking about it, whether I can clock a few more Kms in my current tyres.

I am planning to visit Mudhumalai Forest as I have a few holidays this week. Looking forward to the longest road trip ever. I know it's just some 1100 Km round trip, but the longest I have gone so far is to Pondicherry and Yelagiri. Will post the travelogue after I return.

What else? Got the Rear Wipe replaced at Tafe for Rs. 690 yesterday.

Also, after 9 months of ownership; I detailed my Car for the first time and though I have posted the pictures in another thread, will leave you with a few to enjoy!

Yesterday I swapped my Goodyear GT3s for Michelin Primacy LC at BM Lal and Sons, Opposite Sathyam Cinema. The Car feels lighter and there is absolutely no tire noise like GT3. Also went to the Fiat Service Center and after examining the suspension, they agreed to replace both the front struts. However, it will take 2 months as they are just setting up the shop.

I think once the suspension issue is rectified and with the new Tires, my issues with the Car will be resolved.
