How many kms did the original GY NCT5 last?

I put on Michelin Primacy LC after I bought the car - check out http://www.teamfiat.co.in/linea-1-4-t-jet/8183-my-mighty-magnificient-fantabulous-tjet.html

Main differences as compared to GY NCT5:
    - less noise
    - more comfort
    - better braking and wet grip

GY NCT5 is better in high speed cornering. Stones get stuck in Michelins due to their tread pattern - on the same road with GY NCT5 stones stuck were less. Somehow I feel that the cost difference between MPLC and NCT5 is huge and if that is taken into consideration then NCT5 appears to be real value for money

Some people on these forum have recommended MRF ZLO - you can check them out also

I don't believe MRF ZLO is available in the stock size of 205/55 R16 of the T-Jet Plus.
I think they are only available in 195/60 R15 and the next size being 255/55 R18

The original set have lasted almost 40K.

I was looking at Yokohama Advan Sport V103. Any one with any experience of the same. Or plesease recommend me something better ??

40k kms is quite decent from the GYs. I've got my Punto running on Primacy LC's - 195/60/15 and would recommend them. Advan Sport will be really low on tyre life and rolling resistance would be higher as well since it is a track oriented tyre (the grip is fantastic though).

Have you changed on your Jet.

My Only Concern on Primary LC is the "softer sidewalls" . Though never used it myself, but wherever i go for a feedback for it, i found it in abundance !!!!!

You could look at Yokohama AVS DB 205/55 R16 ones too. They are as good as Michelin PLC if not better, and they cost a few hundred bucks lesser too. More VFM compared to Michelin PLC.
