Starting this thread to highligh the usual traffic bad spots, rants and other related route queries for Mumbai.

A couple of them from my side:

    1) The road leading from EE highway towards Powai and from Powai to EE highway has been taken up for road paving and other repairs works. This has led to some serious uneven levels where the bump felt is huge. Please take care coz sudden braking to maneovre might result in rear ending.
    2) There is presently no u turn for vehicles coming from Ghodbunder Road after crossing the toll near the Fountain hotel if anyone want to return to Ghodbunder Road. The only turn available is at the start of the Mira Road flyover (opp Delhi Durbar hotel) which means that you get stuck in the traffic till the fountain hotel and then take a turn toward Ghodbunder Road.

Mumbaites/Others - Please add to the above list so that people travelling via Mumbai/Thane are aware of such bad spots.

Mods: If any similar thread exists, please merge.

Just been to International Airport. When coming from the older route Easter Express Highway to Andheri-Kurla road and taking the usual right turn from below metro, the road when ends towards the Airport has a left turn towards a bridge leading to the swanky new canopy terminus entrance. Most traffic is moving from right making you mistake that they too are going to Airport for departures. There is a left lane diversion at the signal but no clear sign board yet.

Also when reaching below canopy for pick-up or drop, please note that the Airline Gates digital display use small font size, making them readable only if you park for a brief moment near each digital display board. I went by the old habit of asking the security person on bridge who guided me properly. Point behind telling this is some people are in a rush, while others park just ahead of you making you turn full steering to move ahead. Changing lanes can also be a problem since crowds and kids gather around for goodbyes and sometimes are running around near the entrance ramp and parked cars. Best to be very slow and well aware of where the gate is exactly to keep in the right lane.
