Mumbai Meet - June 29th 2014

Discussion in 'Team Fiat Meets' started by Sridhar, May 22, 2014.

  1. Let's put it to 1st March.
As and when the list gets updated.. In the meanwhile why not take up suggestions for locations? It's been pretty monotonous now ghodbunder fountain etc.. BUT then that's my opinion I'm always open for those places!

About the location, what about Kelve Beach, its 90Km away from Thane (I considered Thane as a center point for all Mumbaikars) so a one day drive and meeting will be good, and as there's a beach there will be no problem for parking space as well, also we can visit the Kelve fort as well.

    Suggestions pls.

@swgaan aka Swapnil - Thanks for the suggestion. Sounds good but since its a Sunday wouldn't it be crowded.
@Harsh You are right, Fountain is monotonus. Remember last meet when we drove to Dutta Snacks on NH3. Do we want something like that? Maybe this time to Dutta Snacks Manor then??;):finger:

  5. @ghodlur the Manor datta is too good a drive! Nh8 is supreme fun.. And Sundays we have so many riders plying by... The sound of refined engines is so good in the morning air... I often drive down to hotel Ahura at the Gujarat border where all these biker "gang" sort people gather... Its a sight and parsi breakfast is fun too!

Harsh - What's the speciality of Parsi breakfast? I havent tasted till date, hence curious to know. If you vouch for it, then we can finalize this. Hope the hotel has sufficient parking. The drive is what we need but should be compensated by some lip smacking breakfast/lunch.

Akuri, Brun Maska, Kheema Pav, generally the usual. Its Parsi lunch food that has many more options, if you've ever been to Jimmy-boys. The berry rice is a must have. Following is a glimpse of food at Ahura.. :hungry: Pic. from here. Maybe we should aim for brunch...
A bigger list of popular Parsi food at wiki.. The ambience here seems more modern compared to the more dated but adorable looks which still attracts customers at South Mumbai Parsi joints.
