Watched the movie-NANBAN(Yup,very late!),the remake of 3 Idiots.
Untill the interval, the film was storyless, directionless and listless, immediately after the interval, the film picked up a storyline and when it did,I loved it very much. The storyline has a strong connection with today's education system and looked like the story of most of us down south, whose carrier is chosen by parents, irrespective of the preferences of the child.
Shankar proves once again that he is the master of song picturisation, the ask lask song was beautifuly picturised. The belly dance sequence was simply grand and curiously,Vijay's stylish dance was more impressive than Illeana's sintilating belly dance!(why does she look so pale and aneamic??!,size zero doesn't work in tamil!!!)
By the way,why does Shankar has this fetish of stripping all the guys in all his movies??!!(Sidharth in boys and Arjun in Mudhalvan.etc.)!!,guys drop their pants in the movie almost every 10 minutes(what, does the father in the theatre ask his daughters to close their eyes every 10 minutes??!!!),there wasn't any other movie which deserved an A certficate more than this movie.Even Vidhya balan should be thinking,I was better, had some clothes!!!
    3 stars.

Dabbang is remade in Telugu as GABBAR SINGH. Power Star Pavan Kalyan heads the star cast. Audio is released yesterday and the songs are just above average. Here the looks of the film,

Watched the movie THREE(known for the famous KOLAVERI song),mainly out of curiosity as to why the movie was taken out of the theatre in 3 days.
But,surprisingly the movie was good, neatly made for a first time woman director, but, well, why did it flop big time???,Nowadays, people go to theatres mainly to have fun,to beat stress, here, this film increases the stress levels, though for a good message.
As usual Danush's acting was good, though it looked like a carry over from his previous film-mayakam enna ,which was also good.Heroine,Shruthi hassan was a surprise package, she emotes naturally and effortlessly, she has a future. But,the talking point is the chemistry between the couple, really I haven't seen anything like this in Indian movies, atleast a 100 kisses exchanged!! and that too a new variety(you can call it tamil kiss!!,you have to see it to know what's new) and the surprise is how the director, who is the hero's wife was guiding all these smooches??!!
A must watch only for serious film buffs.

    Watched the Tamil movie-KAZHUGU.
It looked like an inspiration from the hit-MYNA.Nevertheless,the movie was decently made,a bit of editing would have helped.Cinematograhy was good and a little appreciation for choosing a different back drop for the story is warranted
