    Hi,

    Any tips to protect my punto from the ill effects that monsoon brings in. :anyone

    I am mainly concerned, coz the parking I've got is open :A and being in Mumbai, rain's gonna lash as usual. I have already got anti-rust protection done :wink: , but still concerned. Anybody recommends car covers on during rains? My punto has seen the hot summer out in the open ... feels bad :cry: .

    My advice is refrain from using any cover during monsoon rain. If it is possible, go for covered parking. Otherwise, leave it as it is without any cover. After rain stops, wipe the car dry.

    Enjoy your car, Don't worry. Fiat's solid build ensures that such worries remain far off.

    I'm in Mumbai and my car remains 24x7 in open directly under all weather elements (Direct sunlight, rain, dust etc etc etc). I use car cover (but not in monsoon) at night (from 9 pm to 7.30 am) only to prevent the school-going kids running scratches on roadside parked car.

    A photograph published in today's Deccan Herald details monsoon woes in Kerala. In such a situation, always drive slowly in the first gear with half-clutch and high rpm on the centre of the lane/road.
