    Hello TFIans!

FIAT's diesel engines - Multijet is used in Maruti vehicles like Swift, DZire, Ritz and in Tata vehicles like Vista and Manza.

How same are the engines used? I mean other than the main components used, other parts like hose pipes, VGT used in 90 HP engines, oil pump, oil cooler etc etc.

Why I ask this question is because of want of spares in future. Maruti and Tata will surely support their customers for really long wrt to spares.
So can these same spares be used even in Punto/ Linea?

I'm no expert and I'm not knowledgeable to comment on this topic but if at all these spares are be used from one manufacturer to another, from a normal person's perspective, I believe that Quadrajet and MJD should have greater similarities wrt to common parts used.

My feeling is that as regds the engine and its support parts will all be the same but may be from different vendors but part nos could be different.

Some part sharing could be possible between MJD and Quadrajet, but I doubt if DDIS is compatible with MJD. Electronics are going to be totally different.

as far as i know multijet uses five little jets for injection into the chamber. Fiats latest multijet -2 uses 8 jets.

Does Quadrajet means four jets instead of five as of fiat or four in line cyclinder? not sure.

    @ axn sir

All engines have 4 injectors having 5 step multi injections per cycle.
We are using 2nd gener multijet.

3rd generation MJD has 7 multi injections.

BTW you are absent since last 2 years.
