    Hi All,

Its been 6 months since i have got hold of her. Earlier i was having a Ford Ikon 1.3clxi for over 2 years. Then it was high time that i traded a decade old ikon for a diesel due to my running expense started to increase with a petrol prices sky rocketing.

Just love being with her. 1st service happened within 45days of the purchase of the car. My dealer was shocked to see the interior of the car. I have changed the full interiors of the car. Added arm rest, Autographix wooden finish like dash, SUB, etc.

I have changed clothes, slept had food and even tried bathing in the car.

There are no proper roads in my area and in chennai city after the monsoon rains infact no roads at all. Puntoo handles them very well. Hats off to Fiat suspension but only disadvantage is that the front bumper has got lot of scratches due to low ground clearance.

Just ripping her to core. In fact i showed say i am raping my car everyday. Max speed i touched was 145kms/hr. And my average speed in the odo is always 55km/hr.

My office is around 60kms from my home. I take her to office mostly 3 days a week. It is some kind of race going and coming from office. Normally i travel in GST road where lot of buses and taxis ply. Always some taxi walla try to have a go with me. But unfortunately they lose the race with me.

I have to say that there is a lot of lag in the 2nd gear. Once into 3rd it pulls on and on. Here are my mileage figures:-

    With A/C on:-
    Speeds within 80-100kms/hr - 24.7kms/liter
    Speeds within 120 - 150kms/hr - 16.83kms/liter
Speeds in peak city bumper to bumper traffic - 14.5kms/liter

1st Accident happened 4months after i bought her. Hit by a ACE on the left doors. Back left door has got a hole and more scratches on the left front door also. Got them replaced after a lot of struggles from the Future Generali insurance guys and the VST motors. It took nearly 45 days to get the car back running. Now she is due for her second service done around 14500kms on the odo.

    Accessories added:-

    3M sun film CS 40 - 3500 bugs
Arm rest (some local) - 1300 bugs
Pioneer 8250 HU, JBL Comps for the front door, Infinty Reference co axis,
JBL 4 channel amp and Pioneer Factory encloser SUB. Total around 33k
Autographix wooden finish dash - 1500 bugs
    Central Locking - 4000bugs
    Roof Antenna - 550 bugs
    Under Chasis LED's - 3000bugs
    Lenso Alloys - 20000bugs

    And now for the pics:-

Congratulations on the white beauty. But i think wooden trim inside the car has spoiled the interiors.

Welcome on board Bharath. Nice mods you've done on the car, Not a great fan of the fake wooden dashboard stickers, You could possible think about carbon vinyl in black/grey color.
  8. Welcome Bharat... Wish you have many more happy miles... As others told, wooden dash mod spoiled interiors. However, it is okay as long as you are happy with it... Blackening B pillar and portion of A and C would make it much more sexier...

It has been a long time since i updated the thread. I have driven her over 28k kms in 14 months now. Finally managed to get a used OEM Punto alloys from a tyre shop here for 16k.

I have started to hear the rattling noise at some place like:-

-Under the dashboard front passenger side. It maybe due to the a/c pipe touching the body and am not sure about it.
-Dashboard noise near the speedo console.
    -Rear left side seat.

And finally suspension has started to show its age due the bad roads that i travel daily. Hear lot of suspension noise from the front of the car.
