Then he must have removed 2 small bolts while fitting the alloys. That makes it compatible with 100PCD alloys as per the alloy walas in Chandigarh.

    +1 to paddle

When fitting alloys to our Palio in '05, the alloy wala removed those two 'pins' and crudely filed the alloy holes with a hand file.
Those were the days when PCD was a term as alien as anything to me.

But they've held up well. Refitting after removal is a serious headache though.

Yes, But as far as I can remember all alloy wallas do remove it as no aftermarket alloy would fit in.

Thanks Roy..Today only I happened to notice the 'J' factor. All the alloys models I was looking for is 6.00 J. So here comes the 'M' factor again..So planning to drop it for the time being..

A simple problem of the rims 'J' being more than the tyres width....upgrade is the only option lik suggested by others above

Thank you all for the suggestions!! especially to Gurjinder and Roy.
My friend did bite the bullet and got the stock tyres exchanged with brand new Apollo Accelere tyres 185/70 R14.
We got close Rs 6000 for the old tyres.
Now these tyres are a perfect fit for the 6J alloys.

Yes Cinju. It included the spare tyre as well.
The new ones costed Rs 3600 each without the discount.

Good your buddy gave the Punto the shoes it deserved.

165 must be for Shahrukh Khan's i10  or those clones with different faces from Maruti etc.
