  1. Re: Punto CNG anyone???

4 years!!! :O.... I guess i would be ready for GP Evo by that time!!!! ;)
And CNG conversion of Diesel doesn't make sense. Also i doubt its possible given the entire different architectures of Petrol and diesel engines.

to be honest you would loose the peppiness of the car after converting it into a CNG fuel.... i wont be keen in doing it with my GP.. U must be thinking i hav a MJD and am stating that.. Would have give the same answer if i owned a petrol too...

I feel it's better to wait for Fiat to release the Punto CNG because they may authorise their dealers to do a retro job after that. Punto is a fairly complex car when it comes to electronics so it's best to stick to Fiat ASC for such jobs.

I came across this web-page about Diesel to CNG conversion. http://www.drivers.com/article/715/

It appears to be at a very nascent stage, and does not appear likely to reach India in the near future.

    wiper died & back alive

today, afternoon it was raining constantly.. I was returning home.
the front wiper was set at "low" speed. interval speed was not enough.

The wiper was running on low speed for about 15-20 mins constantly..
I reached wadala bridge, and on the way down, stuck in traffic, and all of a sudden my wiper DIED!! :shocked  :punch
Turned the wiper to high speed, back to low, interval and all possible combination's. NO response to button command. The rear wiper was working happily as if nothing was wrong.

turned it OFF. after 30 seconds or so when the visibility was ZERO, i tried to turn it ON 1 last time before I had to stick my head out as the traffic started to move again, the wiper worked!!  :)

After that this has not happened again..

Now what made the wiper to just stop all of a sudden?? :irked :thumbs down
Was it that the motor was heated?? what will happen on the highway when one drives for hours during the rains??

Thats unbelievable man. Do check up with the TASC ASAP.
BTW last month when it was raining heavily I went to Nasik and came back the same day. The Journey - To & Fro - was like @ 8 hrs. And throughtout the journey, I'd no option but to keep the wiper on at Low - as well as high speed. I never face any problem.
