If taking rest in the car for 2-3 hrs during a trip qualifies for short breaks then, my longest drive would be from Paradip to Thiruvarur, a total distance of 1758 kms covered in 45 hrs approx and again covering the 1745 kms distance during my return trip in 43 hrs approx. The details can be found here.

    Amazing drivers, amazing drives. :)

I just compiled a list of top 10 drives by TFI'ians in a Fiat. If you feel I have missed any drives who fit into this list, please feel free to add. I would update this list from time to time.

Rule - Single stretch, One driver, Fiat Car. Short breaks are fine.

And the Top Ten (Kms - TFI Handle - Stretch - Drive time) drives are,

    1. 1783 - nkrishnap - Bangalore to Udaipur - 20 hours
    2. 1758 - sathishgv - Thiruvarur to Paradip - 45 hours
    3. 1755 - J Ravi - Mt. Abu to Bangalore - 25.29 hours
    4. 1748 - Roadking - Udaipur to Bangalore - 26 hours

:)The longest trip for me usually from Thane to Kankavli (Malvan).546km..one of my friends native place so we keep going .... Starting time around 11.30pm from Thane with two three tea breaks at pune, kolhapur, internal road at Gaganbawda..as post kolhapur internal roads are mixed of ghats and village small roads recahed there at around 6.45am. But its treat to drive on this highway in night super smooth roads with FE around 19km/lit speed 100 to 110.
Planning for a Mumbai Bangalore (Majestic) soon...:)

I did do a real long trip as per my standards.

Did Gwalior to Shirdi in total 18 hours.

    Steering time = 16 hrs.
    Kms covered = 1065kms
    Avg. speed = 66kmph
Mileage = 17.9 kmpl on the ODO

Started at 8:00 AM from Gwalior and reached Shirdi at 2:00 AM. I was thinking how our top 10 list people managed so much. I was feeling sleepy after driving for 16 hours with two lunch and dinner breaks of an hour each.

Did quite a long one, earlier this month during Navratri, at least as per my standards
    :D

Thane -> Ganapatipule via NH17. 390 kms. Took me around 13 hours. :(
The road was pathetic for first 120 kilometers or so and improved after that but was fraught with sporadic broken stretches.

    Return -
Ganapatipule -> Thane via NH4. 520 kms. Took 13 hours. Awesome road. A real treat :)
