    Day 3:
On the last day, 31st of March, we had only one spot to go : Edakkal Caves.
We took NH 212, the best road we hit in this trip. We saw a TFI'an in a Red Punto with AP registration overtaking us. He had TFI stickers on the left side of the rear bumper. Since we were moving in the same direction I thought he would also be going to Edakkal and I wished I could meet him there and say Hi. But, he was not to be seen again.

Took a diversion at Kolagappara from NH212 and the road became patchy. We parked very close to the base of Edakkal Caves climb. We had to park in the open.

Going up the hill for the caves is quite an effort and while mother in law stayed near the car, father in law came with us to the entrance of Edakkal Caves. It took some 45 mins of walking. Then me and wife with daughter climbed up to the caves, occassionally sharing the lifting of daughter.

    Climbing up the caves.

The Caves. Mobile photography inside the caves is not allowed, I do not have photos of pictorial writings, dating back to 6000 BC, in my mobile.

It was worth the climb, I felt on reaching the top to see pictorial writings done by humans 8000 years ago. Climbing down, partly through a separate route, was not as difficult as going up.
By the time we had descended to the base, it was about 2PM. We then had lunch from a nearby restaurant and then headed back.

Had completed 3000 kms on day 3.

We took the same route as NH212, NH17 to reach Kochi about 10:40PM in the night.
    The trip stats:
    Total 780.5 kms, Avg speed 36 km/h, mileage 16.4 km/l

Then the car remained unused at in law's place for some time, when it was decided that I will use it for my daily commute. Linea must have been happy to come back to action.
There were some spider nets when I was about to take her.

I was driving to office from in law's place early in the morning and after few hundred meters, I found something was on the boot lid. I did not immediately stop, as I was anyway going to stop for diesel fill in next 2-3 kms at Vytilla.
Mother in law had placed some grans for drying and forgot to take it back. Vehicles followed me should have got a sight, courtesy mother in law.

There was an official conference meeting held at a resort in Kollam, Kerala and on the last day, I visited nearby beach at Thirumullavaram.
I like this beach for the abundance of coconut trees next to the beach. The coconut trees appear in different shapes and heights.
