Lighter steering in newer(2010) Puntos ?

Guys i drove a recently bought Punto MJD today. I felt the steering was lighter compared to my Sep-2009 Punto. It required little effort at parking speed compared to the older car... any of you felt the same ?. I didn't get to drive at higher speeds, don't know if it's different at that speed too.

 

It could be due to tyre air pressure difference.
AFAIK, there is no difference in the P.S.

I didnt feel any difference when i drove the 90HP.. it felt the same like my MJD...

 

Signs of aging I believe, I have a heavier clutch should be the same for the steering, or as rajeev mentioned tire pressure.

 

Yeah , I also feel it could be to higher tyre pressure,maybe deliberate so potential customers feel an easy steering !!
It could also be someone inflated higher by mistake.

Keshav newer punto's come with smaller tires maybe thats the reason you found the steering lighter?

 

Hi,

I am feeling the lighter steering in my 90Hp when compared to other MJDs and Lineas. It is May'11 make. Fellow TFIans also confirmed that. But the service guys are repeating that it is normal.
And another thing is mostly I feel that it is trying to move towards right and I have to hold it with some pressure, as a result my right arm is aching. There is no allignment issue.

Experts, Please suggest what could be the reason.

I have one more query. What is the fuse number for cigaret lighter socket? It is not functional.
