Hi Ravi Ji,
All the best for your voyage. I wish I would do it sooner with my Punto.
Thanks, Ramesh. Due to bad weather conditions, I dropped Ladakh plan [via Srinagar, Sach Pass or Manali] altogether. Now, it is HP, CH, PB and RJ trip only. We are at Shimla now. Sorry for my late response.
Thanks a lot for the kind wishes, pv_krish.
Punto can easily do it. All the best.
The spring water must be special. It really made the XUV glitter..
Nice to know that you made a wise choice, of avoiding Leh this time.
Ravi sir, isn't the stream hard water? Any issues with wiping the XUV dry especially the Glass parts?
You could have still gone via Manali- Rohtang route. However, HP, PB, RJ are also beautiful. Have a nice & safe journey.
Yesterday, XUV 500 brought us safely and comfortably from Shimla [departure: 9:10 am] to Chandigarh [Rock Garden, High Court Museum and refuelling - 2.5 hours] to Jalandhar Haveli [evening tiffin break - 1 hour], and then, to Amritsar [arrival: 8:45 pm]. Now, rain is lashing our Amritsar.
No. We drank that water and filled our empy water bottles. No issues with washing XUV 500 with that water including glass.
Two of my attempts to drive to Leh [via Srinagar and Sach Pass] got failed. Add to that, I read that due to repairs to Koksar bailey bridge, there were traffic jams for many hours. I also learn that roads were really bad in the upper reaches. With these adverse conditions, I dropped the Ladakh plan altogether.
Sir, nice pics. The thread title said linea in it. Now I am seeing xuv. So no more linea will be taken to such places by you?
Thanks, zenwalker. I did Leh trip in my erstwhile Linea in Sep 2011, which was sold to my friend in Feb 2014. Now, I have XUV 500.
Nice to read about your travelogue once again, now testing the endurance of the cheetah.
Hope the journey is as smooth as your earlier trip in the then Linea.
Wishing you and Mrs. Ravi safe, comfortable and another memorable one.
Await for your travelogue along with pictures.
Best wishes to you and Mrs. Ravi.
@J Ravi Sir : I have added "Revisited with my XUV" to the the thread title You continue to be an inspiration to us !!
