Which cars are laggards on the road from on-street experiences?

I drive daily 62 kms (31+31) in Mumbai B2B traffic. In return journey back hom it takes me 1.5 - 2 hours to cross 31 kms due to traffic. When the traffic is crawling, the laggards (slow cars/ vehicles) make the following car suffer as all cars from adjacent lanes overtakes you & that laggard car & come in your lane while the laggard does not allow you to go ahead & traffic does not allow you to cut the lane. Same condition happens when the traffic is free-flowing. This is the reason why I', always afraid of getting in a lane behind a laggard cars. So, which are these laggard cars?

    • Indica - the top slot goes to Indica. refuses to move/ budge  [/*:m:bdxpttzh]
    • Indigo[/*:m:bdxpttzh]
    • Sometimes Logan[/*:m:bdxpttzh]
    • Surprisingly more than half of NHC's (Generation-2) are also usually crawling[/*:m:bdxpttzh]
    • Most of the very old small cars[/*:m:bdxpttzh]

Have rarely seen any Ikon or Swift crawling & being a laggard.

    Whats your list of laggards?

I generally like to drive smoothly behind a car keeping the standard two second distance at a speed of around 70. What happens normally is, the dumbhead sumos and indicas and innovas and qualises think that they have a space in between me and the next car and try to overtake me and get in between the next car and my car. I then honk in the most irritating noise (to them) possible, but then, again try to keep the two second distance between this dumbhead and my car and then some another dumbhead makes his entry. The most irritating are the tanker drivers. They neither give you side, nor can they themselves drive faster. If it was in my hand, I would have put everybody driving the above mentioned cars in jail under Mcoca.

I can't single out any car model as being laggard, but the common factor for laggard cars I see is the driver conversing on the mobile phone in one hand and moving along at 20kmph holding everyone behind. :hit

The part where i feel irritating is when you see 2 auto's trying to out do each other...neither can coz they are stuffed with 6-7 people and since they have occupied 2 lanes you cannot overtake them and have to crawl at their speed..Traffic chaos in Hyderabad is 90% due to auto guys .Their brake lights/turn indicators never work and they swerve anyhow if they see some one waiting for an auto...

Dunno about cars. But I believe, two multi-axle trucks/container trucks heavily loaded almost bursting on sides, on an incline , and one trying to overtake the other. King of Laggards I must say ...

ha ha ha...Kings of Laggards in true sense, though not cars ::D
Try driving after an Indica/ Indigo in chok-o-block B2B traffic like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi. When one commits this sin, he reaches home half an hour late

Laggard cars come in more prominently as it starts to rain. Low visibility, bad car dynamics and handling all show up. Yes, the Lacars supremo would be waaaaaaaagon RRRs.

Have broadsided a car, if a car is in the second lane behind a truck, but moves in first lane just to block your approach, moved round the truck and ahead from left instead of honking. Getting just parallel to the first-laner when he just comes ahead of the truck swerved to come parallel and exactly 2 feet from the first-laner, but staying in lane, front of truck.
    And watched the car shudder.
