I got hold of links of Google maps saved on mobile, posting screenshots here. Since Sygic & MMI were offline maps, most of the times they were used & Google Maps were seldomly used just to double check.

    .....contd....Day 13:

Had Maggie-lunch at Zingzing bar. Reached Jispa at about 7 pm & proceeded ahead. Reached Keylong at about 8 pm

Next Day would bring in the King – Rohtang Pass

Later in Aug/ Sep'14, came to know from FB, forums, you tube videos that this water stream flowing over the road became dangerous with extremely strong current later in Aug/ Sep'14. Vehicles have to spend overnight on both sides of the stream waiting for current to slow down.

Beautiful sight of Darcha thro' a bypass road. Darcha is just before Jispa.

Few interesting signs enroute to Jispa.... after Gata Loops

    Day 14, 25th June'14:

Left Keylong at about 7.30 – 8 am. Reached Tandi. After over 800 kms & 4 days when we left Leh for Pangong, saw a Fuel Pump at Tandi. Got the fuel topped up.

After Gramphoo, the climb to Rohtang started. There was one treacherous water crossing out of many. Sharp Broken edges of the tar road surface in the middle of the road vertically, with deep water on RHS filled with big stones. It was about 50 meter long crossing with both starting & ending points a sudden fall and sudden rise with sharp edges of the road. This was the toughest water crossing of the trip and I was so worried about underbody getting damaged. Drove first carefully on RHS in the deep water with all 3 co-passengers outsides on 3 sides watching underbody. Later they told me that when I was driving the car in that deep water filled with big stones, the stones hit both side foot rests so much so that both foot rests on both sides folded vertically like rubber or like with hinges for some time. Though there was no damage and they came back to their usual position immediately. Once I reached the other side, the climb of the edge to come out was so steep, that the car refused to climb it. I had to reverse the car, climbed left wheel on the vertical edge of the road with right side wheel in the water, still it wouldn’t climb the last horizontal edge. My bro & nephew threw big stones and filled the steep height of the edge, only then the right side wheel could climb it.

Barring this, the others were ok and we crossed Rohtang relatively easier than I expected. Though once we were on Rohtang top, I was mentally tired and exhausted of driving the car thro’ water crossings, hairpin bends with steep incline, the road soaked with water due to melting snow etc. Had a nice photo shoot at Rohtang top and my bro took the wheels thereafter.

Just after Rohtang top, we landed on the Rohtang tourist spot and the terrible agony started. Lots of tourist taxi’s parked on both sides of the road. Huge long line of standstill traffic visible and out heart sank. It took us more than 3 hours to cross those 2-3 kms. Then again the traffic got stuck 2-3 kms before Solang Valley/ Palchan which took another 1.30 – 2 hours. The last nail was the entry in Manali – 2 narrow one-way wooden bridges – the traffic was stuck there for 45 minutes. Our target for the day to reach Mandi (or even proceed to Ropar) went out of the window. Since it was already 6.30 pm while we were waiting to enter Manali, we decided to stay overnight at Manali itself and to leave early the next day to reach our target Jaipur!

This was the day we could cover only about 125 kms, all thanks to these traffic chaos, Manali administration has to do something, at least for the narrow bridges at the entry of Manali and Solang Valley entry road. From Rohtang to Manali, you can’t imagine that it’s a Manali – Leh Highway which is a lifeline to the locals in that region in Ladakh for 4-5 months.

Next Day was going to be a loooong drive to Jaipur.

Fuel Pump at Tandi....That 365 kms is provided you go directly to Leh. In our case it was about 850 kms without a fuel pump as we took a circuitous route Leh-Pangong-Chushul-Hanle-Loma-Tso Moriri-Debring-Sarchu-Keylong-Tandi

    Day 15, 26th June'14:

Left at 5 pm from Manali. Chandigarh BP Kharar to Panipat BP took more time and few flyovers were being repaired and the traffic was diverted to service roads. At Kotputli, one of the flyovers was broken and there was a huge line of trucks stuck for 4-5 kms. Somehow, we maneuvered the car thro’ service roads etc and crossed it. All these delayed our progress to quite an extent but we were determined to reach Jaipur, didn’t want to disrupt the schedule. Finally reached Jaipur a little beyond 11 pm, had dinner at the wonderful HVK CHD tie up GH & slept.

Next Day again would be a long drive from Jaipur to Surat.

    Day 16, 27th June'14:

Left at about 7 am. Reached Ahmedabad at 6 pm. Dropped Nephew at Ranasan circle. Dropped BIL at the entry of Ahmedabad-Baroda Expressway. Encountered traffic jam for 45 minutes at Baroda Expressway exit (bridge construction work going on). Reached Surat at 11 pm.

    Day 17, 28th June'14:

Left Surat at 11 am & reached Mumbai at 2.30 pm

It was one helluva drive and I would hope that the life gives such opportunities again in future for I would want to visit “that world” again & again.

When I reached home, the ODO was showing this......

Memorable it is. Thanks for sharing so much details, and with so many lovely pictures.
BTW those roads between snow walls are one way or two way? Looks so narrow for 2 vehicles.
Did you store so much fuel?

    Two ways:D.
Even Two ways roads are hard to be made there that the luxury of one way road is just not possible.

Yes. We brought 3 Jerry cans of 20 ltrs each which was much more than enough. Even 40 ltrs would be more than enough for the circuit we took (hence we used only 2 cans, its a headache to keep taking care of a can filled with fuel). Our original plan was Turtuk-Hunder-Wari La-Pangong-Hanle-Tso Moriri-Tandi (without going to Leh) which was about 1300 kms circuit without a fuel pump (though from Sarkti, you can take a detour of about 10 kms from Sarkti to Karu (towards Leh) where you can refuel)
