KL Fiat Meet- Kodaikanal - 2022

Fiat Club Kerala meet - Kodaikanal, Nov 2022.

The Fiat Club Kerala had their 5th annual meet held in Kodaikanal, TN in the second Saturday weekend 12-13 of November, 2022. One year after their 4th meet.

This time there were cars bearing registration plates of KL, KA and TN reaching the hill station carrying about 60 people in 22 Fiat cars.

Siena Weekend - 1
Abarth - 1
Tjet - 4
Linea - 4
Punto and derivatives - 14 (Avventura, Urban Cross and Diesel Abarth).

There were 2 more cars of other makes, from who could not take their Fiats.
Those cars were treated as "outcast" for the photos and convoy !

Announced months in advance on the WhatsApp forum, the preparations - sourcing parts, servicing, beautifying, finding those to visit spots on the location, items to carry, on the way meeting points, food joints, etc, etc - were in full swing. Only to be dampened by the continuous rains in Kodai and many parts in TN and in KL.

However, the spirit that keeps the Fiats that are not in production any more, are not to be dampened by some rains. The meet went on in full swing, minus the sightseeing by all and an extended convoy. It had enough moments of fun, and stories, car talks, achievements, moments of pride, some home made items, introductions and other acts.

Some reached the day before, some started on the day before with a break in between to accommodate for the long journey (~8 hours, 300-400 kms one way) and reach by afternoon.
Most had a very early morning start (~ 3am). We were the last one to reach, I think, as usual.

The resort was Holiday Home Resort, Kodaikanal, which has its own stories from 1947. Colonial style buildings which look old from exteriors and modern inside, had ample parking for the cars and a dedicated conference hall to accommodate, even a larger crowd.
