Great, No words that the Punto is stable at high speed,
Its a Monster imagine hw would the 90HP perform,
Do write to us about your trip,
Mine is also Active, But when i wanna fun just press the accelerator and enjoy the car as if am on the Rally field.... The Grande simply bows down for your command at high speed.

    More details about Hampi trip...

We left at 5 am from B;lore and reached chitradurga by 7:15 am...here is where I could hit 160kmph twice....on this stretch Punto's staright line speed was tested and I was blown over by its acceleration after well known lag for few secs...once it gains momentum...there is no stopping it...it just moves like a bull....

At one point I was at 145 kmph...I did'nt know eiether..and my wife screamed like a cat...there is no way Punto will let u feel the speed...it just cruises...

I mentioned "LIBERATED" in my earlier post becoz I had doubts...when i20 & swifts were overtaking me in my first few highway drives like anything..somehow I could not go beyond 110-120 kmph ...

We'll this time I left them all behind including a Verna around 5:30 in the morning...we had a dog fight till Tumkur...the difference somehow was maintaining the right RPM's and know how to accelerate...also the engine looks to have opened up..the moment I hit accelerator it is at 120 ..and prod t further its at 140 kmph..:)

After Chitradurga road to Hospet is a 2 lane NH...with the heaviest oncoming truck traffic I have seen in my life...road is not very smooth...it is kind of rough with numerous low-depth potholes...Punto was gliding like anything and dismissing their presence...also road is curvy...and the steering is laser cut precision...at one point I avoided a cow ..may be at the last nano-sec...I missed it while I was changing CD...and i just feft/righted my steering and I was back on road after avoiding the cow...I still can't imagine how Punto managed this..I was so close to the cow that even the cow felt it was being hit in next sec and aggressively postured to it the car ..as a defensive move :)

    Reached hampi by 11:00 am...

    To be continued...with pics

Hampi is simply stunning even if you have 1 % interest in history...

Though you can see in a day ..u'll have to rush... (I don't suggest this)

    But 2 days is best.....

When I went it was cloudy all day :) ...but usually it is hot at this time of year..

From this week they have a concept of "Hampi by night" so you can see Hampi at night as well...

There a lot of very good hotels at Hospet..

I stayed at Hampi international...Rs 2k/night...superb hotel & great food...
