Ownership update at 1000kms in 2 weeks

1.Had my first long drive to my native on NH48 (Nagamangala )..road is a beauty ..so is my car and so was the drive...this car feels rock solid..I can feel the heaviness/sturdiness in its every move..I have driven swift & i20...liked i20..but punto is something else....amazing!!
2.About 50kms in kaccha winding roads...effortless cornering and control...steering responds like a precision guided missile....breaking is very good too...I have no ABS mind you!
3.Getting around 14-15kms in city...on a highway for about 100kms drive I got an amazing 24 kmpl!!!! when I was driving between 80-100km/h..more of safe & sedate driving...on the drive back...I got about 18-19..when I was on the accelerator for most of the time ..though I was b/w 100-110kmpl only...my car was fully loaded with 5 ppl..and loads of luggage(about 200kg)...big boot did help
4.Changing to Yoko A-drive was good ...superb grip..no noise....aesthetically good...and good brake support as well..but I think it is hindering acceleration from 0-60 compared to 165(JK stock tyres)..may be the width is the hinderance...??

Some minor concerns ( anyone please answer them)
1.I had not completed 1000kms till today...so I was well under 100km/h..but once I crossed 1000..I though let me free up my baby a bit...so tried to see how car behaves beyond 100...but it was not very easy..note my car was loaded heavy...may be I touched max of 115 kmph...somehow could not go beyond it...not sure it was the car or was it my mind..which was still woried about a good burn-in period..anyone having 76hp Punto..can you please confirm your top speeds...and how is the acceleration beyond 100..???
2.Couple of i20's zipped past me ..may be they were at 150kmph...so when I can I do that??...(same question as above)..when we were together..I could accelerate quickly compared to i20...even though I was loaded..but eventually they overtook me... ( I thought wait for 2 months)
3.Gear shifting from 4th to 5th is little stiff...sometimes very hard...anyone having this issue ...reason??
4.AC at back seats not so great..in high temparature weather...


One of my uncle who came with us felt..man this car is such a sturdy vehicle..very good to drive....he felt is better than Verna (old)...
Overall I'm very satisfied with my Punto...remember it is still the best looking hatch for another 5-6 years..

Apart from above I need to add I see a squealing noise(like tak) from front right suspension....does anyone know about this..I hear it every time I go on any hump....

 

I have touched 120 KMPH on a Express Way to Pune and it was a ROCk solid dude, with 5 passengers on board and AC was on, Could not guess unless you have a glance at the SPEEDO. Could not exceed more as mother was on the rear seat she was calm when i told that i am at 120,
Its over, the needle steeped downwards till 100...

Ur car will start freeing up at around 3000km fully mature at 10000 km +. My punto @ 66k in 33months does 150 + on highways when I want it to. But I generally drive at 90 for various reasons like legal limit, best FE ( ~24 kmpl) and most enjoyable.

Even I have felt shifting from 4th gear to 5th to be a little stiff!! during my first drive, I actually shifted to 3rd instead of 5th accidently! May be the shifting would become much smoother after the first service!
BTW, do you have any plans to change/paint the grille to silver/chrome ? In my opinion, your beauty would look even more ravishing with silver front grills!
