I just happened to read this news in some other forums that Fiat is parting ways with TATA. Any idea whether this news is true? If yes, what will be the fate of Fiat's Sales and A.S.S?

It's true and good for Fiat. However it is going to happen in a phase wise manner.

I understand that Fiat is coming up with its own dedicated showroom in Bengaluru soon.

Oh! Finally Fiat is doing what has been written all over everywhere.
Coming up with their own dedicated sales and service network.

Even if they can maintain dealership growth as per GM, Nissan and VW, launch a car for the mass market with good A.S.S. and dealerships, they can become a huge success.

Hope TATA will support Fiat A.S.S. with the same interest till Fiat comes up with a nation wide sales network.

Also, Nissan and VW have a thin dealership network. It will be disheartening to see Fiat to that level of thin dealerships initially. But, hope it makes up for that with it's own dedicated staff.

I have a strong feeling that FIAT could be tying up for service with MYTVS who are also responsible for the 24x7 RSA as of now. The MYTVS set up has around 2000 service centres in the country and are more professional in their approach. We Fiatians could gain by it I suppose.
At this stage FIAT would not make the mistake of going alone. It is easy to have showrooms but tough to have sevice centres without volumes and that is where MYTVS would come in handy.

Yes its a good move, but make no mistake Fiat in India is nothing but half Tata. So Tata and Fiat must have taken the decision together. Afterall, more fiat sales means more profit to Tata as well.
If its true, its good that Tata accepted the issues with their service centers and finding some alternatives together ::T .

:dancing Bangalore does get attention first, after all most of the Fiats can be seen on our roads.

Ravi: There are more new and old Fiats in cities like Cochin and Trivandrum (overall in Kerala) than the ones you can see in Blr. Anybody have any region wise sales figures?

I heard my friend who visited Kerala saying that there are a lot of Puntos and Lineas here than he could see in Blr.

Wow!! But I don't see those old Fiat owners in any of the Auto forums.

In Blr most of them who own these new gen Fiats belong to the IT Community. As such people stays mostly in outskirts of the city, it might seem like Fiats are less in Blr City.

Cochin and Tvm are smaller compared to Blr, so I guess it looks like more Fiats are in these cities.

Bombay/Pune is the hometown of Fiats. I guess there are most number of Fiats there!
