    Update -

India summons Italy envoy. Finally, they have started to show as if they are trying at all levels.

A couple of Italians kill a couple of Indians, get arrested, get paroled, go home and refuse to come back.

As a backlash, all Indians (we are quite a lot, aren't we?), boycott everything Italian (Yes, including FIATS). Who do you think will win? Neither our bureaucracy nor our citizen have the solidarity to do any such thing. We are safe in our small little worlds, singing praise for our small little possession, the fishermen's families be damned.

Exactly... this is what is going to happen...
They are not going to come back. Ferrari had a black flag when they raced in India. They stand together as a nation. We don't

Ours is a big car with too many steerings/steerers. The car itself is confused as to where it is going!

    Update -

    - Taking a tough stand, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday accused Italy of violating “every rule of diplomatic discourse” and asked it to send back the two marines undergoing trial for killing Indian fishermen, failing which there will be consequences on bilateral ties.

    - The opposition attacks the government on the issue with and dubbed the action of the Italian government as a “very curious Italian job”. As Opposition and allies came down heavily on Government in Rajya Sabha demanding action including arrest of the Italian ambassador, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath assured the members that the government will address the matter with all the firmness it deserves.

    - Stung by the strong Indian reaction to its decision not to send the two accused marines back to India for trial, Italy on Wednesday said it was ready to negotiate the case on the basis of international law as the two were facing trial in the case in a court in Rome.

So this guy talks is it - never knew that.

As with every news in India this will also be forgotten once something more sensational comes up.

    Yes, when charged.

That is the normal course. But in this case, because there is every possibility that Sonia's integrity will be questioned, there will be some action for sure.

Most suprising silence is from Rahul, the prime minister to be. He didn't blurt a word when the delhi gang rape protests were going on nor now when the Italian govt is trying to fool the SC. Leaders should prove their capability during testing times, not when everything is set and the chair is ready to place your butt.

Very true. We will have to wait and watch on how the drama unfolds from now on.
