And Mars Orbit tweeted .
Guys, there shall be no discussion of politics on TFI. Let's keep our discussions related to the progress of Mangalyan.
This historic event is not being appretiated nor celebrated all over India like one does when cricket is won. Sad state in this country I would say.
I hope and wish the stupid media talks and encourage and educate the entire citizens to be aware and respect and celebrate the achievement.
We don't have time to watch news. There are so many cricket matches :sigh
I have huge respect for ISRO for all the efforts put by them. But, I still feel they hugely lack in presenting the things in an appropriate manner. I was browsing through their website and what a crap that is. Why don't they make a more professional and informative website too? What is that going to cost them for this?
BTW, I am still searching for the Mars Orbitor Mission updates.
The older tender system for everything, leaves out on trendy aesthetics and design elements for modern websites.
Is this what you mean? >> http://www.isro.org/mars/updates.aspx <<
I did see this. The last update was on 24th September (One month back). This is what we call as an update? Also, providing information in a more modern webform is desperately needed. What they have given is the century old design of providing information in a table.
Infact, this mission deserves a separate website.
I agree about the dedicated website idea and also the modernization need related to the same.
They mentioned that --
Spacecraft Successfully enters Martian Orbit More..
Burn Start of Main Liquid Engine Confirmed
The radio link between the Spacecraft and Earth is now blocked by Mars.
Eclipse starts - The Spacecraft is in shadow of Mars
Forward rotation starts
Changed Over to Medium Gain Antenna
Since its blocked by Mars, additional updates not known to ISRO ? or is it lack of updates ?
Anyone saw the webcast? Link says needs plugin or browser updates for Windows Media Player. Opens in IE.
