    Dear TFI'ians,

We are writing this thread to lay down some basic, but important instructions and rules for the DIY Section. Please read these carefully and understand them completely.

    1. Some among us are more technically inclined or think differently and therefore try out stuff with their cars. DIY Threads are a result of such thought process. Not all of us can do this and therefore our eyes lit up when we see a DIY Thread.

    2. However do understand that the person who is posting the thread has, in all probabilities, put in a lot of thought behind the DIY. On most occasions it is impossible for the reader to imagine and understand the thought process. What we see in the thread is the end result : not the thought process.

    3. The member who has posted the DIY has probably burnt his fingers trying the stuff. He was willing to take the risk. The member is posting here because he wants to share the information with you and thinks that it might be beneficial to you. However that does not mean that he is urging you to take risks and tinker with the car.

    4. Please do not send PM's to the DIY thread poster asking for his phone number & "Can you please it do it on my car too?" questions All discussions need to happen on the forum so that all members are benefited.

    5. Give credit wherever it is due. If you like a DIY and do it on your car : share it with the forum and thank the person who had originally posted the DIY. It will help everybody.

    6. If a DIY goes wrong on your car : it is not the responsibility of the original thread owner to rectify it or take blame for it. When you adopt a DIY done by someone else : you are adopting all the possible liabilities arising out of the DIY as well. Also don't bad mouth a member because you were not able to implement the DIY

    Happy DIY'ing
