Great Enjoy your drive.
Be prepared for pure veg and dry (no alcohol) city - Surat.
Nice thread J Ravi sir. ::T
Good Luck for the FIAT Factory Meet.
Thanks, Viny. I am posting this from Surat. No problem for us as we are all dry veggies!
Thanks, YB. I thought we would be meeting at Pune on 3 Dec 2010.
Great, do enjoy the Main road just outside the Ginger Hotel, its good to roam around
Do visit TGB Hotel, Indias first pure VEG 5 Star hotel, its arround 3-4Kms ahead from Ginger. You would really enjoy some good food.
Or visit Tropicana or the TGB Resturant in Valentine Mall (1km from Ginger hotel) on same road.
@Viny: We had a great walk, roamed around ISKCON Mall, enjoyed street food on the Ring Road and returned to Ginger Hotel. As you had mentioned earlier, we were driving over a lot of flyovers to reach Ginger Hotel. I will post more details after I reach Bangalore.
I reached Ginger Wakad, Pune, safely at 6:45 pm. I am all set for tomorrow's Fiat Ranjangaon factory visit.
3 December 2010, Friday. This was a red-lettered day in my life. This was the day I enjoyed the maximum during my 17-day, 6000+ km trip spanning across 7 states of India. Yes. I am referring to the Fiat Ranjangaon factory visit organised by Team Fiat. Here are some photographs clicked by me. More to come later.
We have planned to check out of Ginger Wakad, Pune, by 12 noon today and start our homeward journey. We would reach our home, sweet home around 2 am tomorrow.
More to come.
At last, my 18-day, 6148 km-long mega trip spanning across 7 states of India was completed successfully and safely.
We left Ginger Wakad, Pune, yesterday at 12:05 pm, had late lunch at Sai Food Court [40 minutes], just before Kolhapur, refuelled at BP COCO retail outlet, Vadgaon, had dinner at Kamat Upachar [40 minutes] and refuelled again at Reliance [I was told that now Reliance fuel price is at par with other PSU OMC's as they too are getting fuel subsidy from GoI], Chabbi, just after Hubli, refuelled for the last time at BP COCO retail outlet at Sira and reached home, sweet home, today at 1:24 am after about 13.5 hours of journey including breaks. Thank god, no bottom-scraping in this entire journey of 863.7 km.
I commissioned the Fiat 500 car mouse presented by Fiat India. Very nice memorabilia indeed.
Here are some photographs. More will come later.
Flash-back of the mega trip will start soon.
Amazing trip Ravi. Whens the next one. lol
Thanks, ansal11. The next visit is to explore Gujarat in 2011!
