    Hi all,

Does anyone knows how to clean pollen filter, few months I had a/c cooling issue I visited SC they cleaned polled filter then onward it was good.

Now again I feel it cools, but not up-to-the mark.

Can anyone tell me, how to clean the filter on your own (DIY), without visiting SC.

    Thanks.

Prabu, cleaning the pollen filter is a bit complicated process, you will need a "L key" of specific size to open the filter cover inside the glove box.. and then the next part to locate the screws. Its a bit tedious process.. so just leave the cleaning to the TASC.

BTW the air filter is easy as it is completely accessible and has only 3 - 4 odd screws.

I'll be going to the TASC next week for my 15k servicing, I will find out the size of the L key and the screws to open the pollen filter.. So By next week there will be a DIY..

It has been mentioned in the FAQ and other topics to clean the pollen filter to improve A/C efficiency and remove bad odors.
Is it a DIY job or requires a visit to the TASC?

If its a straight forward DIY job, any pointers/steps would help a lot.

For emotion plus its surely needs a visit to the TASC. They Blue&Me control unit needs to be removed first for the glove compartment before you can even access the screws for the Pollen Filter. I think the location of pollen filter should be the same for all other variants also

Better to take it to a TASC as its not an easy job as it looks to be...
They dont charge you to clean the pollen filter ne ways.. So take it there and let them do it for you

Opened the glove compartment but couldn't find the filter there. Removed the Blue N ME unit but no filter. I could see the Airbag system but no pollen filter. Mine is a Linea Em PK so it might be placed somewhere else. Any ideas where it could be placed. Any inputs would be appreciated.

It is behind thr Blue N Me box.(Wonder How I missed it) Got the filter changed in service and the filter was badly clogged with dust, leaves, paper pieces.
As a result of filter change the AC has become super efficient now chills down the car completely within 2 mins like it did at the time I bought the Car. Air flow has increased by atleast 50% I can feel cold air even when Auto AC fan speed is at 1 bar. Ran the AC in Low Mode for 5-10 mins and I was shivering with cold. Temperture at grill was 2.9 degree when checked at TASS after filter change. Now I will make it a routine to get the filter cleaned every 3 k Kms. Will Put my whole driving experience of 15K in linea in a thread within this week.
