    Great thread J Raviji!!

    For all those looking for burgers/sandwiches/ice creams on GT road - there is a small food court kind of building near Karnal. While going from Delhi towards Punjab it appears on the right hand side. It can be identified by the Mc Donalds sign. Toilets are clean and choices range from Mc Donalds, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Dosa shop (do not remember exact name)

    @Shashank,

    My info may be a bit dated. As I remember, in Ambala, there were about four hotels, each claiming to be the 'original' Puran Singh. The actual 'original' is the last hotel in the line, when you are driving from Jullunder towards Delhi. Their mutton curry is 'bucket list material'.

    Regards
    Johnny

    Decent eatery around Dindigul on the NH itself is something not available currently. There is one but really not worth it. It is better to drive down to Dindigul Town to have decent food.

    Between Salem and Avanashi, there is one hotel Annalakshmi which would come on the left itself if driven towards Coimbatore. It is located just before Perundurai, at about 70-80 kms. from Salem.

    Edit:- Uploading few pics of Hotel Annalakshmi, Perundurai. Courtesy-Gearheads.

    I usually do non-stop between Bangalore and Chennai. However, Woody's at Kolar bypass and Shakthi Ganapathi before Kanchipuram below the Vellaigate railway overbridge [both located on RHS while going from Bangalore to Chennai] are good eateries.
