Hip Hop Black vs Exotica Red

    Hi Guys

    I have just booked a FIAT GRANDE PUNTO 1.3 MJD EMOTION.
    I am supposed to get back to the dealer regarding the colour choice by tomorrow
    I always wanted the Electric Blue which has now been discountinued. However now i am confused between HHB & ER

    I love both the colours equally.

    Exotica Red
    Pro: Reminds me of Ferrari
    Con: A little too common colour on the Road (Lot of Punto's & Swifts with this colour on the road)

    Hip Hop Black
    Pro: Smashing Colour, The best Black can look on any car
    Con: Inauspicious, Maintainences issues, Blah Blah Blah.

    Guys, i Know colour is a subjective topic but plz go ahead and give your suggestions.
    I am slightly baised towards Black, but how can a FIAT/Ferrari be painted in any other colour other than RED ?

    I will be biased as I own a Red Punto:) But the Red in Punto is different from the red ones on Swift and Hyundai ( i hate the i10 red color), so it will definitely stand out.

    I believe that Punto looks good in all the colors.

    Black is good but as a whole Punto does not stand apart on the roads in black(my opinion only).
    Black looks good on almost every Sedan but not every hatch. It does look good on some like Santro, A-Star and Alto. It does not look good on Swift and Figo IMO. Black looks better with chrome alloys. May be you can go for Black Punto with Chrome alloys in that case.

    Red my be common in other cars like Swift, i10, i20 but this red is different. Your Punto will really stand out in the crowd.

    I would go for black since black is metallic.

    Red is not metallic : its flat. In the long run, it is easier to maintain metallic shades.

    Red looks stunning but VERY hard to maintain...believe me! I myself wanted Electric Blue, but my home ministry insisted on Exotica Red.

    Chrome Alloys :up defintely in the next 6 months.
    I agree with both of you that the Exotica Red is smashing, No wonder i shortlisted it .
    I also agree that its way different from the other Red's. But the common man sees colours in 16-bit windows. RED is a RED no matter what shade it is. Sadly the Booking time for Red is 1 month & Black is readily available. :confused1
    However there are going to be a lot of RED Polo's & Figo's on the Road in the next 6 months. my concern (apart from Swifts & i10s)
    Also I agree the Black is meant for Sedan's. I also heard some people say that the Black Punto blunts out the visibility of those beautiful curves on the car. :anyone
    Thanks Ravi. Saw the results, but reasons not conclusive enough
    Finally I have 2 votes in favour of black. On the contrary people have said Black is difficult to maintain.
    its 2-2 Black:Red (I am still baised towards black) 51%:49%
    someone please justify my decision ::O

    I will anytime go for BNW but with the options you provided i would say Hip Hop Black.

    I say stick to Red. This country is full of psycho's and these psychotic tendencies go up 10 fold when they see a black car.
