    Hi

This is my first post on any forum.

Am looking for a new car to replace my faithful Corsa which served me for more than 6 years.

Done TD of few cars and zeroed on Linea, City and Vento. My daughter wants ONLY LINEA and nothing else. This could be the effect of ""Admiration Guranteed"" and Home minister inclinded for Honda. My choice??? except making the payment.

Will post the experience of TD and show room later. Just mentioned Linea T Jet to get me registered. Who knows T Jet may be the car for us.

    Best Regards

    Rajen

Welcome to TFI, Rajen. If you had been driving the Opel, then avoid the City, you will not like the ride. Among the other two, Linea has better service support.

    Thanks for your response.

Thanks for the welcome and advice. Actually when I took TD on City felt same about the ride though the engine is refined.
Intially was worried about service support but if you ask me majority of the companies are same on service front (My personal view)

I almost agree with your statement that majority of the companies are same on the service front, but of late, Fiat has been trying really hard to get over its past image of poor customer support and the results are beginning to show and we really are experiencing it. Just go through the experience of REAL Fiat owners in the forums.

My comment on the ride and handling is based on the experience of a senior colleague of me who owned an Opel Corsa and later got a City. He once said, "for highways I still prefer the Corsa."

Finally it is your choice and no matter what you believe, the opinion of people whom you live with and meet on a regular basis matter a lot. We use terms such as peer pressure / family pressure etc., to describe it :) and in my case, family pressure had some bearing in my choice of the Punto - my wife and kids won't have anything to do with Ritz, which happened to be the other contender (but peer pressure was against Punto!). Any way I have never regretted my decision.

    Hi Roy

Thanks for valuable response on the Corsa Vs City and improved service of Fiat. (JD Power Survey).

Agree with you on the choice of the car some times depends upon the peer pressure, in some cases. In my case the family pressure is going to be the deciding factor.

One of the issue discussed is about the choice of color of T Jet.Have noted you have Hip Hop Black which is my choice. But family says Tuscan Wine. Please suggest bases on your experience.

Black looks glamorous under neon lights, but you need to keep it clean and shining and that is a very very difficult task when the colour is black. I didn't realize the effort required for it before my purchase ::V But when it is clean and sparkling, the result is better than any other colour and satisfaction you get is more than enough for the effort. Given a second chance I would choose Bossanova White.
