Hi, this is Vijay from Nasik.
This is my first post on any forum.
Glad to be a Teamfiat member.

Completed 1 year of grande punto 1.3 75HP mjd owners ship this September.

Was new to driving (just 25 km of wagon R from driving school) when I hurried for my first ever car. Punto Evo had been launched that time, but got 1 lakh off on grande punto 1.3 mjd.

So went with grande punto emotion mjd 75HP.

Have been reading teamfiat regularly for years before making the decision to buy a fiat.

I was certainly going to buy Ritz Ur swift, but a small news of swift dzire accident near nashik made me aware how unsafe MSIL cars were.
Googled "safest hatchback under 7 lakhs" for months.
The answer was obvious - punto.

Am I satisfied after 1 year.
yes, Future Cars Service in Nasik provided everything when needed.
I just have done second service. Done 11k km in one year.

Only the concern is future cars have stopped the sales( other way round there are no customers) in Nasik.
Felt really sad. Such a nice car but no buyer here.

    Problems encountered and solved
    1. vertical link rods near front tyres were loose. Messed up journey to Shingnapur.
    2. Silencer was hitting some thing while turning the engine off.
    3. left front door lock gave up.

Thank you teamfiat for making me a member.

Am just worried what if the Future Cars Service is also closed.

    Welcome @gpunto75
Don't worry for servicing of the vehicle,
    Its india's national diesel engine,
Prefer fng if fass isn't available
Also shoot the mail to fiat officials regarding fass

What is this fng? @gpunto75 Any updates on fiat said about the FASS closure thing? I am from Goa and here too there is just one dealer and SS. I am afraid that it might close and hence have put the purchase on hold till another exclusive dealership I'd opened as told by fiat through email.

    fng is friendly neighborhood garage.
If you get spares by courier from 99rpm.com or such other sources, fng shall serve you the purpose for maintenance. FASS is still working here and I think it shall continue for a while.
Its fair to wait for another dealership.
Don't know where fiat is headed.
I too was confused as you are. But I took chance. Meet some Fiat users in your area and take their feedback. I used to talk to every fiat owner for his issues, service, vehicle performance etc. Its VFM.
But Fiat when separated, started exclusive showroom here in Nashik, never advertised it well. Never saw a single ad in leading local newspaper in Nasik in last 2 to 3 years. Never reached out to people with events. Never told that their active diesel model is best vfm and strong secure vehicle. Never assured people that service is nearby them. Only customers for Fiat are those who are ready to stand out of the crowd for really good engineered vehicles.
People here are amazed that fiat punto emotion costs 8 lakhs. They think its too much for a fiat logo. But are ready to buy tin cans. You can't change people mindset, nor Fiat's approach.
Very hard decision to make, but take your time.

If it were my money then I would have bought Punto Evo but iit's my father who will be purchasing it. I don't work currently as I am completing my post grad.
Mixed reviews for Goan service center so not sure about it.
Does 99rpm provide other parts like bumper light assemblies entertainment device spares?
