I accept that I am confused. That is because I have no knowledge of cars and suddenly decided to buy a car (before Dec I thought i would never need a car in life !!!) My heart says punto punto punto...And I dont worry about what a figoian think of my decision and scoff about me p But i feel it is an insult to punto and fiat community as a whole. And i think its my duty to save punto from others bad mouth and that is why I seek help from this forum to give me points for punto (I dont ask you to decide between any two cars, please understand) My conviction to punto is firm and I am going to buy this month or next month but cant hear the bad words agains it and that is why I seek refufge in this forum. Your supportive words only will strengthen me. Please understand my intention.

Sundar dont try to close others bad mouth. When you close one, other will open . Majority of the persons assess a vehicle by others words & let them believe what they want . Even one of my friend who is having a figo was really praising my car just after opening & closing the door. It's the tough /premium quality feel that you get when you owe a FIAT. Just ask the figoian one last question " How many members are there in his FIGO fan club " ?? :)

Cinju in my first post itself I acknowledged my astonishment about the fan club for fiat in this forum. I am sure no other brand has this many followers. When I was looking to select a car I came across this forum and fixed my car as punto just for this cult. BTW is there any physical meetings happen in TFI?

Figo is a definite contender for the ugliest looking hatch in India. I feel it's design is prehistoric and if you have 3 people sitting at the back, the car's posture resembles some one squatting in the Indian closet. simply ugly.

With only few driving class experience I doubt if i can drive punto from showroom to my home. Should I need more practice in diriving other cars or i can go straightaway for purchasing this beauty?

For the record I didn't have my driving license when I bought my car. I never attended driving classes, learnt driving in ambasador and indica. Took me couple of days to adjust and learn the things. So don't worry, it's all about confidence. The car actually forgives lots of our errors, I had several miscalculated moves which could have made me go off road but was saved because of the brilliant dynamics.

Also don't try saving punto in front of others. I hope you know the tamil proverb based on donkey ;)

Don't worry about the Fiat community.. we are used to hearing this bull from all around. We just ignore and enjoy our drives. We actually sympathize with them as those poor souls doesn't even realize what they are missing.

I don't know about the traffic pattern in your area but it would be a good idea to avoid driving during rush hour, i.e. office time when most people re driving from home to office and vice versa. Other than that, just drive a bit slow and be confident. Or you can always seek the help of your friend or relative if you want.

What is "H" and "VIN" which I see in some of the posts here. Where and what should I check before purchasing the car?
